Congratulations to Craig aka Nucks4Cup for his super collection of Mason Raymond!
Considering the fact he didn’t consider collecting Vancouver’s Mason Raymond until June, Nucks4cup (Craig) has rapidly assembled an impressive collection that would make even mama Raymond proud.
Craig, our newest Hockey Supercollector, has only been collecting hockey and football over the last four years. Initially, he began collecting Luc Bourdon, a young Canucks defenseman. However, Bourden, 21, died last May, when his motorcycle collided with a tractor trailer in New Brunswick, Canada.
“I started collecting Raymond a few days after Luc Bourdon died. Bourdon was the first player I focused solely on collecting and once he passed away, I knew I needed to move on.
“So, I started to think back on the Canucks season and remembered how much Raymond’s speed reminded me of Bure. Ever since then, I have gone all out getting his cards,” Craig said.
After all, how many collectors can brag of owning 104 of Raymond’s 139 cards, to include all 17 rookie cards; 25 Autos (not counting doubles, or 35 printing plates, 59 if you’re including doubles); 27 GU not counting doubles, 56 total(6/10 of ice premiers, 5/25 of ultimate Rookie patch, Plus doubles of many more); 45 inserts; and an unbelievable 31, 1/1 cards. Oh yeah, he also owns Raymond’s Manitoba Moose Team-Issued card, as well.

While Craig’s Raymond collection is pretty awesome, in no way does he feel it’s complete. His white whales include the Mason Raymond OPC Premier Quad Patch 1/1; Black Diamond Quad 1/1; any printing plates; and the last 4 Raymond Ice Patch Autos #/10.
