Hey All,
It has been a while since I have been here. I have had personal problems that have held my interests elsewhere. For one I just got married to a wonderful 28 year Lady names Jennifer from Peel, Arkansas. I had moved down there and in the process of purchasing a home from my Father. I absolutely loved it down there. I had a beautiful Log Home way out in the sticks with 50 acres of timber around my home and 50 more across the road from our new home. Absolutely fantastic hunting and fishing (Access to Boal Shoals Lake was only 1/4 mile down my road) Unfortunately I am here today to say Goodbye to all my friends here. I have lost my entire colection of every Die-Cast ever made for Earngardt Sr as well as Earnhardt Jr and many other drivers as well. I lost over 600 1/24 scale Die-Cast and well over 300 1/64's, well over a million cards, many many autographs, and much more memorabilia. I lost everything my wife, young daughter, and myself owned including our home and everything we owned in Arkansas on 12/12/2008. We had to move back north to my old home in Lancaster, Missouri that was on the Market for Sale. Fortunately for us it had not sold yet. So enough said you have figured out I no longer have anything to trade or sell. I would hate to estimate my loss in my Nascar Collection alone. Unfortunately it was NOT insured so I am out a bunch. The bad luck is we lost everything and did not come close to having enough insurance to pay for our new home, our contents and as I said prior ZERO on my collection. I lost things that could NEVER be replaced like all of my Earnhardt Sr Autograph items (which I had bunches of). The good thing is that we were not at home during the fire and all 3 of us were unharmed as well as our 3 horses and my Dodge Truck that my neighbors drug away from the burning fire, and let the horses free so they would not burn up in the fire as well. So I do THANK GOD for good people in this world. So since I no longer have a collection I am sorry to say Goodbye to all of my good friends I have met here and good luck on your future collecting. A SPECIAL Thanks to Les and Skippy as they helped me a lot in getting started on this site via another site that has been closed.
Thanks Again to everyone I have delt with in the past. Don't get me wrong I have NOT lost interest in Nascar, I just can not afford to do any buying at this time as my family and our future comes first.
God Bless You ALL,
Vern "BAD2theBONE" vlwbone@yahoo.com

Do not get me wrong!! I am not asking for handouts or begging!!! But if anyone has any Earnhardt Sr or Earnhardt Jr Memorabilia that they would just as soon discard throw them my way. A person has to start or in my case restart somewhere.
Thanks Again,
Vern "BAD2theBONE"

Hey Vern we are so sorry to hear of your lost home and belongings, But very happy to know your family is safe and healthy.

I remember looking through your pics of the things you had and you did have an awesome collection. Once you get things settled, hopefully you will be able to start replacing some of your collection.

Please stop by and keep us updated on how things are going for you, and your family, remember we are not here JUST for trading/buying/selling, we are here for each other whenever we are needed.

Thanks for your support Scott. Yes you are absloutely right, nobody was hurt. I was devestated when I lost my huge collection, but after putting everything into the correct perspective I am a very lucky Man to still have my Family. All the rest was just material things.
Thanks For Your Support,

Hey Vern

Sorry to hear about your great loss, but like Al said thanks to the man above that that was all that was loss, you still have the most important things in life. As all friends we have shared with online, you'll always be in our thoughts. Stop in from time to time if any things to chat and say hey.

hi Vern,

First off I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My heart truly goes out to you and your entire family. Having spent many years as a volunteer fireman, I can fully appreciate what you have gone through. As others have said, God was watching over you and your family and kept you all safe from harm. Material things can be replaced over time.

For whatever reason His plans were, we cannot understand. I truly hope that you will still visit here from time to time and let us know how things are working out for you and your family. As friends, we do care more about you personally then just what is happening with your collections. In time, things will turn around and hopefully you will be here more and more often. It takes time to heal the wounds my friend.

Please take a moment to send me an email with your current address. I'm not sure your email address is correct in my file either so I'll want to update that also so we can keep in touch. I was just talking about how much I have missed keeping in contact with so many of my friends since I was out of touch for so long and you came and posted also.

Hang in there my friend and please be sure to stay in touch with all of us here! God bless!

Thanks for your concern Mike. Yes I do have a lot to still be tahksful for. In time I will return as strong as ever. However, it will take some time for me to be in a position to be trading again. My collection loss was devestating and a lot of it can never be replaced as it was many Autograped, Race-Used etc. of Dale Sr. But things happen for a reason. I will still be around to keep up on what is going on in the site and keep in touch.
Thanks Again,
Vern "BAD2theBONE"

Thanks to you too Les,
You have always been there when I needed you. Both as a Nascar Fan and for personal reasons. You My Friend I will never forget. You got me going strong and determined to have the most excellent collection. After seeing yours, I would not be outdone as far as the Earnhardt Sr part goes. Too bad I did lose it all. I had some doubles and triples of very important cards that you are looking for for your Earnhardt Collection. But I know if it were not for you I would not have had the collection that I did enjoy and was very proud of. I tried to keep up with you but I never did make it that far LOL. You have the best Earnhardt Sr Collection I have ever seen. I would have eventually caught up to you. But I do count my Blessings that my new Wife, Daughter, and Myself were not also lost in the fire. In the closet off of my Nascar Room were stored over 4000 rounds of 30-06, 9mm, 8mm, 300, and other variuos shells, over 20 pounds of gun powder, 5 pounds of Black powder, 1000 primers, and the day prior to the fire I had just had my oxygen replenished which there were 10 large bottles and 20 small portable bottles stored in there also. If we would have been at home we would have never have made it out. I can just say THANK GOD FOR WATCHING OUT FOR MY FAMILY.
Thanks for being there for me in all respects.
God Bless My Friend,
Vern "BAD2theBONE"

Thanks mikpaq77 for your concern. You people here are GREAT. Your thoughtfulness is all greatly appreciated. I did not make this Post to attract so much attention. I just wanted to let my friends here and fellow collector's why I would not be around much. But Thanks Again and God Bless,

Thank Yoy Edfor your thoughts and Prayers. They are Greatly Appreciated. Yes I am a Very Fortunate Man to still have my Family safe. If we would have been at home there is no way we could have survived that fire. Way too many explosives in the house. I have learned a good lesson because of that and also NO MATTER WHAT, Insurance is a MUST!!!! I really got hit hard on my Collection because of saying I could not afford the Insurance but now look at what I have lost. But I still Thank God every Day for still having my Family.
Thanks Again and God Bless,
Vern "BAD2theBONE"
