Congrats, to Tim (Kiansdad), for an amazing Greg Olsen collection, as I was looking through his bucket, this certainly stands out as one of the better collections we have in our Hall of Fame. WOW! Amazing stuff. Good luck as you continue to pickup more of the young phenom TE, that is Greg Olsen, and good luck as you continue to pickup more Bears to one day be a Bears Super Collector. The pictures don't even do this collection justice, there's so much great stuff!

But thats ok.. not every Bear can be great.. but I have some nice cards of great Bears as well. In the end, I think Greg Olsen will be a good one, and if not, hes still a Bear.

National Treasures 1/1 Jumbo Patch- from the "GSH" (that stands for George Stanly Halas, or Papa Bear, for those that dont know. He was the founder of the Bears and pretty much the entire NFL league) on the sleeve of the Bears jerseys.

Score Hot Rookies Inscriptions Auto- I had no idea this card even existed. This is the ONLY one I have EVER seen. There is no announced print run and Beckett doesnt list a bv for it. I stumbled upon this on ebay as a 1 day auction with a .99 starting price. I almost looked right past it, thinking it was the Select version (it is #/40), then I did a double take and was lucky enough to nab it for about $7 delivered if I remember right.

6. What is your best "steal" for your collection?
Not counting freebies and trades, I would have to go with this one:

Ultimate Holofoil Auto #/10- this was one of those ebay mistake listings... instead of Olsen, it was listed under Olson. No bv- I think I got it for around $12

Exquisite Gold Patch Auto #/99- bv $120.. dont really remember what I gave for it, but since I like to look for deals, my guess would be it was definately under $50, probably closer to $40


8. What one specific card has eluded you till this day? and why?
Check my signature.. it would be the 2007 Leaf Limited Cyan printing plate 1/1. I have the other 3 plates (black, yellow, magenta) and my favorite 2007 set was Leaf Limited, I would love to finish it off. I already have an idea of what it looks like, because they must have stacked the plates up and it left an impression on the back of the Yellow plate:

I also have 3 out of the 4 plates for Donruss Threads, I need the Yellow plate to finish that one off. These were only available in the "black boxes" that DLP distributed at the Hawaii trade conference.

9. What specific card (non base) do you have the most of?
Until I saw "non base" this one was easy (I have a BUNCH of base Finest rookies), not really sure as far as non-base. But one of the more impressive ones is the fact that I have 3 of the 10 total cards produced in the National Treasures "laundry tag" set.

10. How do you store your collection?
I store my Olsens in their own 3-row box (plus part of another box because the one got too full). I put them in order alphabetically according to the brand name and then by numbering from highest to lowest within each subset of the same brand. For Example my Olsen Absolutes would have the RC (#/849) first, then all the parallels of the RPM set together from highest numbering to lowest (#/100, #/50, etc) then all the other subsets (marks of fame, War Room, etc) in order alphabetically and then by highest numbering to lowest after that. Then the 2008 cards are done the same way.

I have my Bears cards in the same type of order, by postion, then by rookie year (or rookie card) for each player (Sayers- 1966 rookie card would be in the box before Payton with his 1976 RC), then by card year within the same player, then by brand within each year, then by subset name, then by numbering for parallels. Makes it pretty easy to figure out what I have and what I need for each player.

Problem is I have NINE 4-row boxes that fit toploaders (cant find these anywhere anymore, just the 3 row ones) FILLED with nothing with Bears and then maybe 20-25 smaller boxes (between 500 counts and 3 row toploaders boxes) and I am NOWHERE NEAR getting them all sorted properly. I think have most of the "big name" guys sorted and I try to keep up with the new cards as I get them, but I am beginning to think I will have to wait until I am retired to finish the project! Like I said, I have NO DOUBT that I qualify as a Bears supercollector, just have to get to the point where I can show it properly. :winking0071:
