Still not sold on the Sign of the Times design, too "busy" compared to the SPA I've come to know. I'll have to see one in person I guess, maybe they're nicer than they look in the sell sheet :)

Definitely need to get myself a nice two-color Kulemin FW patch though, really like that design!

Really? I think the SOTT look amazing in the sell sheet and the best ever! Also think they'll look even better in person. I'm seriously thinking of taking a run at the set but so many people do that it drives up the prices of the Crosby, Gretzky, Orr and other big names. Also love the Future Watch Auto set and will definitely make a run at that set with the base, SP Notables, Future Watch, and Future Auto so the complete base and rookie set.

After seeing the product in person, I'm not a fan of the fact that a lot of the SOTT are current rookies. C'mon, isn't that what the FW autos are for? Are there not enough current and HOF players to draw from for autographs?

Just a small point of frustration. That's all. Otherwise, the cards look great!

Looks like Upper Deck got a few big names, then loaded up on cost-effective rookie autos to fill out the product instead of getting more mid-level stars. WAY too much unproven rookie content in products lately.

It is a bit strange to have rookies signing both "true" RCs and plain ole autograph cards. They're popular items for player PCs (who wouldn't want to get as many autos as they can) but as some have noted it does bring about a rather rapid drop-off in the quality of the player's signature.

You end up going from this:

to a couple thousand autographs later, this:

I really like the quality I've seen come out of a lot of boxes thus far. i think the distribution is perfect right now with 3 autos per box and then a patch in every 3. When it was 1 patch per case you were pretty much screwed if you got a dud, but now it seems there are at least 1 or 2 solidly valued patches per case.

The only complaint is that both the SOTT and Rookie Review patch cards look like sticker autos despite being hard signed.
