Congrats to Kyle (mindcrime1981), on being our 1st set collection Hall of Famer. Kyle has the master set of 1997 Donruss Preferred. This set has a very unique look and was one of the first to lead the way in parallel cards. When asked for Kyle's reasoning on collecting this set, he said:

I started collecting this set mostly because I was chasing the Precious Metals cards, but after opening multiple boxes I realized how much I like the rest of the cards/sets. I put together what I had already opened & realized that I had a good start on a Master Set and ran with it.

WAY undervalued set in my opinion...the same Hockey set (which I have the Master Set of as well) is more than double BV of the Football set...

WoW, putting a base/rookie set together is frustrating enough but a master set is something that is very rare nowa days.. Congrats.

Nice set! I remember working in a cardshop when that set came out. The little tins ended up everywhere!

All I can saw is WOW!!!! I opened about 40 sealed box tins that had I think 24 tins each in them back in 2002 and I only got 2 of them precious metals, about 10 platinum cards and 2 platinum die cuts. That master set is nearly impossible to build, and should book at a minimum of $10,000. Great work on the set!!!
