View Full Version : best in the west titan102390 03-10-2003, 07:01 PM some people say that the best team in the western conference in the team with the best record the Dallas Mavericks, others say it is the team the mavericks can't beat the Sacramento Kings and others say it is a team who had a bad start and is now doing amazing the Los Angelos Lakers. Shaq and Kobe have proven they can win it all without home court advantage, can win down by 15 in the 4th quarter, can win game 7 at Sacramento No one can question that. The answer as to who's the best in the west will ALWAYS be the Lakers, until they lose and are out of the playoffs. That said, #2 = Sacramento, who's battle-tested, and very close to being able to dethrone Lakers. #3 = San Antonio If my Lakers don't play defense in the playoffs, they will lose in the first round to either of the above. Dallas is insignificant -- they don't play defense, they are not a physical team, and they are mainly perimeter shooters. As you know, play-offs are different, and the games slow down to a post-offense type. Dallas will fold again.
