So I managed to build up some paypal funds and was thinking of buying a few boxes online. I think I might get a box of 06-07 Sp Authentic. Great Value there, but I'm still very unsure.

But now I'm trying to decide between 3 other ones...all have their pros and cons, and I just can't make up my mind... I'm looking to buy 1-3 boxes max.

1 box OPC Premier

Pros- High-end product that could get me a few nice cards

Cons-Very good chance of High-risk low-reward, and it's pretty expensive for 6 cards(one of them being that manufactured patch).

1-2 Boxes of 05-06 UD2 Retail

Pros-Won't cost a lot for 2 boxes and you get 7 young guns per box, along with a rookie threads card and victory rookies. You can never have too many ovy ygs...

Cons-It's old and the last time I opened a box most of the cards were damaged...

1-2 Boxes of 07-08 ITG Update

Pros- It seems like this is the only way I'm gonna get the Jordan Eberle autograph that I so desperately need... I asked Wayne to help me find one, but I don't want to put all my hopes on him(as great as the guy is).


Cons- The odds are extremely low that I'll get the card I need, and there's not much else in those boxes that I can use


OR.........I can get none of them and just save my money haha. Keep in mind that I'd also like to acquire a Crosby autograph though, whether by trade, buying, or pulling.

If it were me, Id skip all those, and go with something more recent. Black seems to spit out one signed rookie per pack, id choose that over OPC premier probably.

UD Black is way too pricy for me, and I don't want to end up with two no-name rookies being half the box. I like the look of the cards, but I don't think that's the route I want to go right now.

With this in mind, I'd save your money and buy singles. If you buy the wax and you don't get that auto or a big money pull, you'll be kicking yourself. I learned that the hard way.

Yeah, I decided to save my paypal for next season. If Jordan Eberle makes the Oilers next year, I'm gonna need a lot of money to pay for those so I better start saving up now! Unless a really nice pc card comes up on ebay and it's paypal only, I probably won't be spending it.

The majority of my upcoming box breaks will be split between 2008/09 products like Champs, SP Authentic, and depending on how my break next week goes maybe some Heroes & Prospects.
