Okay this is a simple contest. Hopefully, barring no incidents I will be meeting Puckfrmcali and another member from the boards with no post. Of course I shared with him how he gotten a few items in the past from equipment, NHL draft caps, sticks etc. I put up a youtube video of his sticks:

While talking with him he mentioned he wants to take a autographed Ellis stick he has as he has two. Just go up to Don Waddell (GM of the Thrashers) and ask him to trade the Ellis stick and some other stuff (cash, cards, whatever he can think of) for a Zach Bogosian stick.

I think at times he is a complete NUT. But if you ever watched his hockey stick collection, autographs, etc. you cannot argue with the results. I love him to death but he has a mantra "It never hurts to ask".

So what will Don Waddell do that the precept of the contest.


Contest Rules:

1) All entrants must be before the Saturday. I will just look at the time stamp and anything Saturday or later will not be allowed.


2) Post a brief explanation of what Don Waddell will do. The more detailed the description the better. As he either going to say Yes or No etc. Of course if you say we get chased by security and we do then your a winner.

If you say yes and you mention he gives us Suite Tickets to booth or something like that and it happens you will be the winner compared to someone just saying Yes.

3) Post what player is your favorite and what team is your favorite. I will try to send whoever wins from the post above a package catered to that.


Example Post to the contest:

1) Don Waddell will say yes but instead of just getting a stick himself he will holler for Zach to come over and give us the stick he is practicing with during the warm up.

2) Steve yzerman, Red wings.

When he hears you mention Marquette or Northern Michigan University you'll get his attention. Tell him that your friend enjoyed watching him play for the Saginaw Gears when he was a child. Ask if he could get something from Nathan Oystrick (used stick or practice jersey or whatever) as Nathan is his all-time favorite Wildcat. Waddell will feel compelled to oblige and hook you up.

Then, you just have to ship it to me!

Well my buddy was wearing his Pred's jersey and got sneered at a few times. I do have a few things to share on that front as well but will save it for my post LOL. He talked to the stick trainer and asked if Don Waddell was in his office. The trainer went up and the next thing you know Don is comes down looking for my buddy. He sees my friend and my friend call him over. He is like what do you have for me. As I mentioned in the video he gave up the Ellis and Grimson (GRIM REAPER). Waddell was loving the Grim Reaper item so he took the items. He came back about 20 to 30 minutes later with the personally signed stick as shared below.

I agree with that assessment as he was the number 3rd overall draft. I just can't wait to get my game used stick as I made a trade for one of course he stuck in Russia lol. It game used so I could care less on that point.
