The other day I was on ebay surfing for my Lidstrom pc. I found several cards with buy it now or best offer so I sent offers to all three. The next day 2 of the three were rejected. Having forgotten about the third pending offer I went back out to surf for more when I came upon something trully sweet, and it was ending soon! I had to act fast. After a short skirmish with another bidder, the battle having been won, I sat back to admire the spoils of war when it hit me, I till had the pending offer and nothing left in the coffers. I decided to send a nice letter requesting the seller reject my offer I explained the situation and fully expected them to take pitty on my error. A short while later without responding to my request, the seller accepted my offer! (This is where it gets ugly) I was stressed. Having no money to pay for the item and not wanting a negative on my profile I was angry that they would do this. I sent a snide little letter asking why they would accept my bid when I expressly asked them not to and blah blah blah, just generally being a jerk.
So this morning I wake up to two msgs in my inbox. MSG1 The seller has requested to cancel my offer stating I purchased the item in error. MSG2 A somewhat apologetic letter stating the seller accepted my offer before they recieved my message.OOPS! Man do I feel like a jerk! Moral of the story don't bid if you can't afford to buy, don't be such a hothead and wait for a response before going off at the mouth. Foot in mouth is a terrible disease that rears it's ugly head once in awhile it's best to try and think before reacting.
In closing, my sincerest apologies to Ebayer KIlga ,your a class act and sometimes, not often......I'm not so much.

Hey,

At least you're man enough to give a shout out and make it right for KIlga. Great job and congrats on getting part of the Lidstrom of your dreams.

Thanks. There are lots of posts about bad ebayers on here where they are always the villian I thought I would share a story of a good deed despite my lapse in judgement lol They have some nice cards and I hope to do business with them in the future if they'll have me. With the economy the way it is times are tough for my collection budget and I can't afford to make mistakes like this. It was clearly my fault and whether I asked them too or not they fully have the right to accept or deny my offer. Just a little lesson I suppose in not expecting the worst in people and not blaming others for my mistake. Had this happened at any other time I probably wouldv'e just paid for it without issue it was still a nice card to add to the pc.

On a side note. The lidstrom I won was #1/10 pride of a nation patch auto.
