It was getting downright embarrassing.
The Blackhawks had not beaten the New Jersey Devils in more than 10 years -- date-wise, the longest active stretch by one NHL team against another -- and the Hawks also were the ''other team'' 10 days earlier when the Devils' Martin Brodeur notched his 552nd career victory, making him the winningest goaltender in NHL history.
