View Full Version : Draft Flops... RedRamage 06-25-2003, 05:26 PM Okay folks... make your fearless predictions: Of the first 15 picks this year, who will be the first one to be label a flop? j.e.lew 06-25-2003, 05:31 PM McGahee, He wasnt a top 15 pick though was he? RedRamage 06-25-2003, 05:37 PM No... but I suppose you can still include him. He was a big hype player, so he could still fall flat on his face. Falcon_Fan 06-26-2003, 04:54 PM Carson Palmer! Nothing against him, but look who drafted him. History speaks for itself. RedMania 06-26-2003, 05:08 PM watch it falcon_fan LOL Falcon_Fan 06-26-2003, 05:09 PM Hey the falcons have had there share of draft flops for sure. RedMania 06-26-2003, 05:19 PM well i know terrance newman wont be, he was the guy i wanted in cincy anyway, but oh well, we will have to wait and see with carson Enigma 06-27-2003, 01:54 AM Jordan Gross for Carolina... Tigers#1 06-27-2003, 02:10 AM Palmer will be OK, but not great. Andre Johnson will be a bit of a flop. The best D-Linemen will be Jimmy Kennedy, and William Joseph. podstock 07-01-2003, 03:58 PM the biggest flop of all time, for someone chosen #1 overall, was RYAN LEAF what a joke of a ballplayer. He thought he was God's gift to the NFL And the NFL smacked him around like a pinata has he finally retired? or is he warming the bench of another team? billsfan2006 07-01-2003, 04:00 PM Hey McGAhee is going to be a great player in the future in my eyes :)... keeping his rc so it will go up in Value... do u think etopps will have McGahee Rookies? podstock 07-02-2003, 02:45 AM I think if McGhaee performs reasonably well this year, Etopps definitely will have one of him hockeyrules9911 07-03-2003, 12:01 AM Carson Palmer will FLOP Enigma 07-04-2003, 09:24 AM pod - I hope you meant number one overall as in team and not the draft as Manning went 1st that year... other flops... Heath Shuler - Redskins were so high on him and then injuries and a bad work ethic killed his career... J.J. Chokes - er...Stokes. Poor Brunell/Leftwich.... BlackDiam0nd66 07-07-2003, 04:28 AM Hey Podstock- I think "Cryin' Ryan" finally "retired" lolololol.....how someone could retire from doing nothing is beyond me, but I believe that is what I heard last season sometime. Peace, Rima Tigers#1 07-08-2003, 12:17 AM Originally posted by enigma_shadow J.J. Chokes - er...Stokes. Poor Brunell/Leftwich.... That was a terrible trade/pick. I think Baltimore ended up getting Ray Lewis with that pick the next year. But i am curious to see how JJ does in Jacksonville. Receivers tend to flourish over there, and this is a very good situation for him. DaFunkRevolution 07-13-2003, 03:17 AM Im gonna have to say Carson Palmer, He could be the next David Klingler. podstock 07-13-2003, 06:01 AM Originally posted by BlackDiam0nd66 I think "Cryin' Ryan" finally "retired" lolololol.....how someone could retire from doing nothing is beyond me, but I believe that is what I heard last season sometime. Peace, Rima lololol, I agree but also take a look at Eric Crouch, who "retired" due to chronic injuries before the season even started? like you said: how do you retire when you haven't done much AND: how do you have chronic injuries at age 21, when you've played pretty much every game in your 4 years at Nebraska? He certainly didn't look hurt then lol Bonds_25 07-13-2003, 06:29 AM Crouch is trying to make a comeback with the Packers as a backup QB, doubt he will make it. famod 07-13-2003, 01:22 PM falcons also did pick vick russel6833 07-13-2003, 02:51 PM i think palmer will flop. history shows that is how the bengals first round qbs do. Ichiro 07-15-2003, 03:25 PM i think terell suggs is going to be bust dont really know why that is just what my semi-psychic self is saying today him or whoever the vikings picked russel6833 07-15-2003, 03:29 PM i almost feel bad for the vikings for them missing their pick. i say almost because i'm a jacksonville fan and because of it we got leftwich. |
