Hey guys and gals,

Once everyone busts their box(es) of 2009 Press Pass Series 2, could you please make a nice, orderly post showing what you got out of your boxes. Also if possible, please provide a scan of the best card(s) you pulled. If you need help posting scans, PM anyone on the SCF Racing team and we will try to help.

Please make sure to describe how you felt about this product such as the quality of cards, overall looks, pull ratios, etc., good or bad. Please post it and be completely honest.

When reviewing a product that you have personally opened, please be sure to include the following information....

Les...I just opened the most epic box of cards ever-Ill post this stuff after the race-im floored-lets just say i got WAY over my odds on RU stuff-you guys are gonna hate me-especially Logano fans...lol. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I got 4 boxes from Les so will just give general rundown on pulls.

3 full base sets, 4th set shy couple cards only.
(2 cards #204 were machine damaged)
small handful of dupes.

12 cards shy of full set of golds, few dupes.

13 holo cards #xxx/100

1 full set pocket portraits (large pile of dupes)
8 pp with states
4 pp black & whites (have to chase both jr & sr ones for both these)
(says 4 variations on box but guess they counting walmart & target ones)

Over all I was impressed with the release, pulls were pretty much right on and the autos were an extra. 5 stars on pull ratio.
5 stars on collation as well.
3 stars on stock & durability quality as corners ding easlily and some of the card fronts are plain and mar easily (some of the mars are machine made)
I am already noticing warping of the insert cards. Foil fronts not always so great. The pocket portraits are too small and require special pages.
Just my opinion.
4 stars on design as some are really plain.
I did like the little puzzle thing of the hendricks drivers on the back of a few cards.

Not looking to trade anything at this time but will have available sellers up for sale on the bay for next weekend.

Stephen... that box was AWESOME! Congrats on the SUPER pulls! You just never know what is hiding in them packs until ya bust through the wrappers!!! CONGRATS!!!

Dan... NOPE, your boxes are coming out of the factory sealed half case that had not been opened. So you have 4 out of 10 chances of getting a box like Stephen did, LOL!!!

Laurie... there are actually 4 different designs for the PP cards in the set. There is a "special" Pocket Portraits set that will be Walmart & Target "exclusive" cards.

1) Base set (name on front)
2) Hometown (instead of name, town and state with the state design on back)
3) Smoke Tires (grey smokey area on front of card, wording Smoke Tires on back)
4) Checkered (has checkered flag design on front and Checkered Flag on back) SUPER RARE it seems.

Congrats to all on your pulls so far. Keep sharing the details of your box breaks.

As for me... I did a live break with skippy on the phone for one of my two boxes. I didn't keep it all straight however, they all wound up in one boxto be put away in my binders when I have the time, lol

The highlights from 2 boxes:

Jeff Gordon Tread Marks Signature Edition redemption card. Not sure what these are numbered of. Guess I'll have to wait and see since it doens't say on the sticker.

I have a complete base set and a bunch of duplicates as well as the majority of the gold set.

Not a bad set, kind of like some of the card photos this time. In my opinion they're better then getting just some "posed" driver pictures. Some new drivers cards included which if pretty cool.

The rather plain look of the Game Face cards I just didn't really care for at all. The Nascar Gallery cards were nicely designed, but the faces of a few of the drivers look weird and not like them. Mark Martin in particular looks like they air brushed his face on, LOL.

I'd give the overall release a 4.3 out of 5 star rating.

Well I recieved three boxes from Les, I couldn't wait to open them so when I got home and on the phone with the eletric company I opened the first one. Nothing spectacular except for the one big PC hit for me......LOL

So after the afterglow wore off I called Les up and did a two box break over the phone with him. Just the results from all three:

Completed 2 base sets but didn't see if I had a third one or not, used that for PC hits. Inserts recieved the required odds, ended up with 15 Gallery's and 6 Game Faces. Received 3 Smoke's and 6 Hometown Portraits with 2 full sets of regular and a few extra regular portraits.

Over all great pulls. I think the overall design was kind of boring, like Speedway of last year. Agree w/Les on the inserts. Nothing that made a bang on the design of them. Swatches I thought were boring. Hands up for Press Pass for finally using a bigger field for the swatch. The auto's I think were great. Glqad to see the differences between Press Pass and Series 2 auto's. Collation I think was fantastic Just a handfull of dupes on my gold cards.

Over all I think a 4 of 5.

Here's the scans of the few memorabilia cards I got from PP2. Also my buddy Rich usually gets one box of every release just to bust. He usually gives me 90-95% of the cards as he doesn't collect everything, just cards that appeal to him. What a nice suprise I got when going through his box of leftovers and seeing the Joey Logano card.

I love the base cards of the new series 2. I liked the fact that I got a complete base set from one box and very few doubles. The Pocket Portraits are pretty cool. The Gallery inserts are ok. The Game Face inserts I don't care for at all. Too plain. Need to get back to some diecut stuff, like the Torpedos, Shockers, etc from the earlier Press Pass sets. Yeah they are little harded to keep but they are pretty cool. I like the Gold Parallel set but lets get them identified with the "G" infront fo the number like they used to be. I would give Series 2 4.5 out of 5 stars. I want to thank Les for another great case break, I am glad I could get in on this and help him out. Just one other thought before I wrap this up, I would like to see some different color foil on the cards. I guess they are reserved for the lower numbered cards but I did like the Red and Green foil from the earlier Press Pass Cards. Just my opinion. Thanks.

Will post my break when I get home from work, but opened my 4 boxes and sorry to say Les, pretty sure stephen did better out of 1 box than I did from 4 lol. So good luck to the others that got some from this half case. Oh well, thanks for the break and will post details when I get home.

Nothing spectacular from these boxes. I like the continuation of the PP set with the addition of the renamed Corporate Cuts with the huge swatches. The cards look great. The addition of the Prospect Pieces Signature Addition is awesome. I'm not a big fan of the Pocket Portraits; undersized cards may be ok as a "throwback" for stick & ball collectors but as a racing fan I can do without them. The Gallery inserts seem nice but the silver finish on the Game Face is a little overwhelming. I think a 4* out of 5 is appropriate.
