Here is the ordering information for the 2009 Press Pass Showcase case break buying group:

For those interested in joining into our case break buying group. The "tentative" official release date is July 15, 2009. And as always, this date is subject to change by Press Pass. The Showcase Preview link & Tentative Checklist may be seen here:

PLEASE NOTE: This ordering will be done on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. There is a good possibility that our order may be cut due to this release being very limited. I will make note of every email (NO PM's) I receive by date/time. In the event that orders will need to be cut, they will be done so starting with the last to order.

I require that you follow the directions below to help me make the case break go smoothly:

1) You MUST send me an email (les@lesracing.com (les@lesracing.com)) with your answers to ALL four questions!!!

2) Once the product has been confirmed with our wholesaler, the sale will be listed in the Trade Manager directly after the Final Payment Info email has been sent. Please agree to it promptly! Payment is expected to be sent in a timely manner to arrive by the required date!

3) Once you have received your boxes, you must post in the Trade Manager that you have received your box(es) and feedback will be left. Please also take a few minutes to share your comments concerning the release in the Previews and Reviews (http://www.sportscardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=207)forum plus maybe some pics of your pulls.

If you agree to these 3 terms, then you're ready to be a member of the case break buying group!!!


Here's the info on pricing:

$155.25 per box ($0.25 towards shipping supplies)

As always, your shipping cost will be the actual Priority Mail shipping cost plus actual USPS Insurance cost if you want it. You assume all risk for any loss or damage by the post office if you don't get insurance. I do all the work on the case break for free, you assume the risk if sent uninsured.

For anybody wanting 3-4 boxes that would normally cost more then $9.85 to ship via regular Priority Mail, I will use the Priority Mail Flat Rate Box for the cost of $9.85. There is also a larger Flat Rate box for $13.50 that may hold more boxes. I'll do the best I can to help you save money on shipping!!! If you have any questions about shipping... feel free to contact me for more information.

If you are interested in joining into our buying group, I must have your box request ASAP, or no later then May 30 , 2009. I will be placing the final order with the wholesaler at the latest on the morning of June 1, 2009.

I will email everyone their "Final Payment Info" email around June 1, 2009 so that you have more then a full month for your check, PayPal, or NON-postal money order payment to be sent to arrive by the July 8, 2009 due date. I will post the sale in the "Trade Manager" AFTER our order has been confirmed with the wholesaler and directly after the Final Payment Info email has been sent.

ALL forms of payment must be received by me, NO LATER THEN July 8, 2009 I “may” be going on mini-vacation the week after the release so I will need extra time to be fully prepared for this release. (Please keep in mind, I am doing two separate case breaks within a two week period).

I will ONLY accept this way of notification (no PM’s!!!) so that I have date/time stamps on emails in case there will be a need to limit our case break!!! This will help me to send you the proper final payment information in a timely manner, without allot of extra emailing on my part.

FOUR QUESTIONS I NEED ANSWERED:
1) How many boxes you want.
2) Your mailing address.
3) Your SCF ID (screen name).
4) IF you want insurance, and if so, how much ($$$ value) you want your package insured for (you assume all risk for any loss or damage by the post office if you don't get insurance. I'm not making any money on these, just trying to help everyone to get boxes at affordable prices!)

USPS Postal Insurance Rates:
$1.70 fee = up to $50.00 value
$2.15 fee = $50.01 to $100.00 value
$2.60 fee = $100.01 to $200.00 value
$4.60 fee = $200.01 to $300.00 value (add $0.95 per $100 to the $4.60 rate for $300.01 and above values)

Doing these case breaks is very time consuming! By joining the case break buying group you are agreeing to complete this sale and agree to the three requirements listed at the top of this post.

Here's where the real fun starts. Currently we have sold out 3 full cases, which the wholesaler said was his allotment. He will try and get more on Monday, if possible.

Please feel free to still continue to send me your box requests and I will try and do everything possible to get you boxes with the help of the wholesaler. Please just understand if I have to write back and say he can't get us any more boxes. he'll dod everything possible to get boxes to fill the orders.

NOW... for the members listed on the second list... our wholesaler is trying to work a deal with another to get us another case. It's not yet confirmed, but he's trying. The only negative that I see with doing this... the box price may increase by $1 to cover the shipping cost of that last case. He's trying to finalize the deal for this for all that are interested. To date, the last case has 6 boxes ordered so that will mean 6 more boxes will still available for us once we've confirmed getting the case.

More details to come as soon as this gets locked in!!!

PS: He already has some stick and ball guys lined up to buy some of this "high end product" (most likely so they can do a re-sell), but he is holding them off so his "racing people" get first crack at them!!! he really is a GR8 guy doing this for us. He could be just selling it fast and to one guy that wanted to buy it all. Life is good for US!!!

Just a heads up... the wholesaler is still trying to get more of these Showcase cases for us. he still has not "locked in" with the other guy he is working with. He's trying hard so bear with us. He's supposed to talk to him again today and will call me as soon as he has a DEFINATE answer!!!

It looks like the wholesaler has been able to get us another case (4th case). The distributor he's dealing with has assured him that he can get a case from him. So that means the 4th case is locked in now also.

Several members have been asking me what's happening with the case break and if they can still get in on the case break. If you do NOT see your name listed above in either the frist 3 cases list, or in the 4th case list, feel free to send me your answers to the questions and I will put you into the 5th case list in order requests received until we see if the wholesaler can get us another case. He's doing what he can to help us, so hopefully we'll be able to make everyone here happy with getting the boxes they want.

Please note... as stated for the 4th case as well for the 5th case (if we can get it)... the box price may increase by $1 more per box for everyone in the case so that it covers the added shipping costs from distributor to distributor.

Keep your fingers crossed and hope for another case!!!

I also transfered my money from my high yield money market savings account to my no interest, free checking just so the cash is easy for me to get out but did this back on 7/2 so I wouldn't have to worry about it later when I would be busy with the house and other stuff. Oh well... it's not like we don't know this stuff happens. One reason that this line appears in every case break... it happens, lol.

Yeah, I was starting to wonder. I saw that later date on another website about a week ago. I double checked on the Press Pass website, but it still said the original date. I'll just assume that they needed some extra time to make sure my one, lowly box is loaded appropriately after I bombed on a PP2 box that I really didn't have the money for in the first place.

They may owe you guys more $$$. Went to a card show yesterday and one of the NASCAR Dealers there was thinking he saw that it was pushed back again until the first week of August (5th or 6th)

If that's the case, I will be on the phone with Press Pass......

Good News & Bad News...

The Good News... everybody that was in the first 3 cases listed above (the ones we got form our wholesaler), were shipped out today as soon as I got them packed and to the PO. Hopefully everybody will have them by Friday, Saturday at the latest.

The Bad News... the 7 members from the 4th case (the one our wholesaler found trhough another distributor) will have to wait until our guy has them in hand. Apparently, they did not find their way directly to our guy as anticipated. he was going to get them out today. So what's this mean... I gotta take another hours trip to get them as soon as they come in and do this all over again, lol.

The minute I can get that 4th case in my hands, the sooner they will ship out. Hoping I have them in hand tomorrow and still is possible for a Saturday delivery.

I hate snafus!!!

I will update everyone as soon as possible. Should be a really fun day tomorrow with having 4 inspectors for my house here along with doing the second group case break. I just love this job... lol.

Good News... I have the last Showcase case in hand!

Bad News... I can't get them all packed, labeled and to the post office before they close. So tonight I will get everything done, lableled and will head to the PO first thing in the morning or as soon as possible (my roofing supplies are slated to be delivered "between" 7am - 11am).

Watch for your email from the post office with your tracking info and good luck with your breaks when you get them!!!

OK, as of this morning after my roofing supplies showed up, I ran the packages from the 4th case break to the post office. As of now... everybody's Showcase is either in the mail on the way, or some have received them today.

GOOD LUCK to everyone with your breaks!!! Hope to hear about all the goodies sometime next week. Now back out to enjoy that lovely hot, humid weather and keep getting the prep work done.

mine is also still in NJ, i cant stand how it doesn't give you an estimated arrival date.

I was thinking about getting a box but it is $235 a box here. Excited to see everyones pulls!!!

I don't think I've ever been this upset over boxes of cards I've purchased from Press Pass before, even if it would have been $100 instead of the $700 I spent. I know there's a risk, but this was out of line. Out of 4 boxes, I pulled one good card, a Dale Earnhardt auto sheetmetal. One box had only 1 memoribilia card, missing one memoribilia and one autograph, and one box had 2 memoribilia cards and no autograph card, not to mention the base set was almost 2/3rds doubles. I was going to try to complete the 2 top sets, but this just took all the fun out of it. Sorry I could'nt give you any good news Les, but I guess that's my luck. I'll try calling Press Pass in the morning, but I doubt they'll do anything about it.
