Notre Dame football scoreboard up for auction

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - There has been only one bid so far in an online auction of the football scoreboard at Notre Dame Stadium.

Bidding on the 16-by-40-foot scoreboard opened May 13, and as of Wednesday the only offer was $1,988 by a bidder identified only as njde9 on May 28. Bidding on the Steiner Sports Memorabilia Web site ends July 27.

They did this not too long ago with the scoreboard from the University Iowa football stadium (Kinnick) when they were upgrading.
