at least we all seem to agree he is not breaking any HR records this year

He's not going to break his own hr record this year, but he could EASILY lead the league in homeruns if only he can get the ABs. But with Kent gone, unless everyone else around him have career years, he's not going to get many ABs, I'm predicting over 200 walks.

47 he walks walks so much but he still knocks alot out

I say from 45-50. He will stack up the walks this year, and I expect him to missa few games because of injury since he is getting pretty old.

LOL I'm the Bonds fan in here and so far I have the lowest prediction! I still think somewhere in the 40's. I wouldn't even be shocked to see something like 39 homeruns in 420 ABs out of him. I would be very surprised to see him surpass 50.

I predict Bonds will hit homers in the 40s.

With Kent gone, he's got even less protection.

He's gonna be walked so many times, he might even break his own intentional bases on balls record.

I'm gonna say Bonds AND Sosa are going to be around the 50 HR level. I'd also go out on a limb and say not only will Arod be at that level, but you might see Adam Dunn and Griffey Jr. come close to that point.

Shocking, I know but we'll see.

I think that depends on the quality of the pitching this year. And who's going to take the base on balls, starting with Bonds.

Around 50-55 he's not gonna be as good as the last two years

ide say about 45-50

oh, definitely, I could see Griffey Jr hitting 40-50 homers.

He's been mocked, insulted, etc.

And he's pretty healthy.

That combination should give him motivation.

It's been a while since I've seen a potential Hall-of-Famer fall so fast.

Not since Canseco or Ruben Sierra.

Griffey has a lot to prove to the fans... the injuries have taken their toll on him, but he's a lock for the HOF no matter what

KingPin, I respectfully disagree. Considering Griffey's entire career (assuming he retired today), what has he done to merit the Hall-of-Fame?

Yes, he came to MLB at an early age, had several monster seasons, with monster statistics.

But, since leaving Seattle, it's been UTTER disaster.

Wasn't Dale Murphy a lock for the Hall-of-Fame?

What about Don Mattingly.

You can't just put all the superstars (and yes, Griffey was one) into the Hall.

The Hall is reserved for the likes of Cal Ripken, Tony Gwynn, Barry Bonds.

Griffey has to put up numbers as he did while in Seattle.

I dare say his time in Cincinnati has booted him out of the Hall.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Griffey's not a lock yet, but he will be in a couple of years. Unless he has a career ending injury, he will be in the HOF. He will end up with 500+ homeruns (most likely 600+) with a good amount of RBI and runs. Plus, he is one of the greatest defensive players at his position ever, not to mention the second best hitter of the 90's. So if he were to retire now, he would be borderline, but with just a couple of years more he will be a lock for sure.
