Miami and VT have accepted offers to join the ACC, so now the ACC has raped the Big East of its two best football schools. This should make the ACC the best conference in basketball and football...pretty much forever. Go ACC.

The ACC still isn't the best conference in football... I'd put them 3rd, possibly 4th.

So you are saying right now the ACC is the best conference in football? There's no way... The Big 12 is the top...followed by the Big Ten easily...

I say the Pac-10 is the best!

led by UCLA, of course!

Pac-10 had an off year last year but they'll still one of the best... for now I have them neck to neck with the ACC.

I'd say the Big 10 is the only conference better than an ACC with Miami and Va. Tech.

Virginia, Maryland, and NC State are all on the up-and-up, and with two more years before Miami and VT come into the conference, those teams will have a few years of big recruiting under their belts.

Virgina, Maryland, and NC State might be on the up-and-up, but only NC State is a Top25 team and that's what counts. Who knows... by the time Miami and VT hit ACC soil, they might be programs on the fall too. You never know with college athletics.

Expect Miami and VT to have not so good years next year because everyone in the Big East got some serious bulletin board material now.

Huh? Maryland finished last year at #13, and they were ranked 12 in ESPN's preseason poll and 17 by Athlon, Virginia was in the top 25 in both, also.

Plus, Maryland waxed Tennessee in the Peach Bowl.

You'll see what I mean... and Tennessee was crap last year.

You think NC State and FSU are the only top 25's in the ACC next year?

Maryland gets Bruce Perry back (2001 ACC rushing leader and offensive player of the year), and Scott McBrien is in his 3rd year in Friedgen's system (2nd as a starter). They return 15 starters, with the big loss coming at MLB in E.J. Henderson, but they got perhaps the best MLB out of high school in Wesley Jefferson.
