Hey guys, I just came across this forum and registered today. I used to collect autographs through the mail back in the early 90's, I didn't send a lot, but did get a few good ones including a Larry Walker Expos and a David Wells Toronto. I have been collecting autographs in person here in Vancouver for the past 5 years and have started mailing over the past 3 years. Again, I'm not mailing out a lot, but I will start more now with all this great information. Anyways, my addition to this post,

I just got a Keith Tkachuk as well in 21 days and yes, I used his homes address which is listed above at Hunters Pond Road in St.Louis. I sent two cards and he only signed one, in black sharpie, and left them both out of the holders.

Last sunday was the Brad May charity game here in Vancouver with approx 35 players. I went down to the hotel where they were staying during the day and was able to get Claude Lemieux on a couple 8x10's and a picture with him, also got Jarome Iginla to sign some 8x10's, he was with Jamie McLennan but I had nothing for Jamie. Later I got Jason Strudwick on 2 cards, Darcy Tucker signed 9 8x10's for me (he asked for one of them which was a great fight photo against his good friend Steve Thomas which is why he signed so many), Olaf Kolzig signed 8 8x10's too. Than the bus showed up to take the players to the game, I was able to get Eric Brewer, Ryan Smyth, Ed Jovanovski, Mike Keane, Todd Simpson, and Steve Staios on 8x10's. After the game, I snuck inside the arean and waited where the doors were for the players to leave and got Dan Cloutier on a couple 8x10's, Matt Cooke on an 8x10, and some nice Darryl Sydor's on 8x10's with him holding the stanley cup. I Shane Doan signed some cards for me too. (as a side note, I saw Nickelback in there and talked to them but had nothing for them to sign). Afterwards, I waited outside a restuarant as a few players were inside and got Jovo, Sydor, and Claude Lemieux to sign some more photos for me. Claude was just hammered drunk but was super nice, I got him to signed a Devils cup 8x10 for me and he wrote MVP 95 on it too! Todd Bertuzzi was there and denied me for an autograph...thanks Todd. Brad May was there and signed about 10 photos for me, all fight 8x10's

I almost forgot, I also got Marek Schwarz to signed a couple Blues 8x10's and Gilbert Brule to sign 4 Team Canada 8x10's.....it was a good day indeed

How/Where did you get the Marek Schwarz? I would love to get a hold of his autograph.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday, Vancouver was lucky enough to get the Prospects game, so I went down on the Tuesday to the skills contest, and afterwards to my delight, all 40 prospects did an autograph session on the main concourse. I picked up a game program and got them all to sign it. Sure would have been nice to get Crosby in there?
On Wednesday, I went down to a local hotel as they were having a brunch celebration. I got a couple Don Cherry photos signed, as well got 6 Scott Niedermayer photos signed. I got my ticket stub signed by Gilbert Brule, Bobby Ryan and another prospect who I can't remember right now but he is currently ranked #2 in the draft order. I saw a bunch of other NHL alumni there such as Harold Snepts, Todd Harkins, Mike Milbury, John Davidson, Stan Smyl to name a few but didn't have anything for them.

I went to Plymouth Whalers v. Sudbury game and got a bunch of autos before and after the game. 8 Marc Staal, 9 Benoit Pouliot, 3 James Neal, 1 Vaclav Meidl, 1 Jared Boll, 1 Gino Pisellini, 1 Dan Collins, 2 Mike Foligno, 1 Jim NIll, 1 Mike O'Connell, 1 Mike Looby, 1 Andrew Fournier, 1 John Armstrong, and 1 Tom Sestito

Got Georges Laraque c/o Oilers. Forget that I sent this. I think I saw someone get him during the lockout c/o team and I tried. He doesnt really sign anymore. My card,It is just a 2 w/a 7 attached to it. But thats ok I have gotten an 8x10 of him when I emailed a request. He personalized and signed his name.

Okay, this one is going to be long but it is all in-person since the hockey started. Are four pre-season teams were Anaheim, San Jose, Calgary and Edmonton..here we go

Anaheim, most of the stars stayed home for this one including Giguere, Fedorov, Sykora, and Lupul and Bobby Ryan was injured. I was able to get the following players on 8x10's..Todd Fedoruk (1), Ryan Getzlaf (5), Corey Perry (4), Rob and Scott Nidermayer (1 each), and Ilya Bryzgalov (2), Not bad but things will pic up..

The next day San Jose was playing, they flew in the day of the game, went straight to the rink arriving at 4pm and left right after. I didn't go thinking it wouldn't be too successful and Marleau was the only one to sign off the bus. After the game I heard a few players signed but they come back a couple times in the season so I'm not too worried...moving on.

Calgary, pretty much had a full roster with exception to Kiprusoff. I was able to get two signed stick with 23 and 22 autographs on them. I got Iginla to sign a Hockey News magazine and an 8x10. I also got the following players to sign photos for me, Stephane Yelle (1), Chris Simon (1) as a side note, he asked me to give him some photos next time and he will sign a bunch for me or give me a stick!!, Phil Sauve (4). Steve Montador (2), Darren McCarty (4), Andrew Ference (2), Tony Amonte (2), and Shean Donovan (2). Now this was more like it!

Next day went for Edmonton, got the following players to sign 8x10's, George Laraque (2) and again asked for photos and promised me a stick, Shawn Horcoff (2), Cory Cross (1), Ethan Moreau (3) also liked my photos and asked for some and promised me a stick, Ty Conklin (2), Robbie Schremp (5), Bill Ranford (1) what a bonus!!, Fernando Pisani (2), Mike Morrison (3), Mike Peca (1) and a card for a forum member, Ryan Smyth (2), and Kevin Lowe (2). Pretty happy with the pre-season, bring on the regular season..

First up, Phoenix

Went down to the team hotel in the morning, snuck in the lobby and saw Brett Hull, he signed a puck for me but told me to go to the front door, he wouldn't sign in the lobby. Afterwards, Gretz came down and I got him to sign a McFarlane for me. For those doing in-person this season, both Hull and Gretzky are signing at the rink before practice, but our city had about 40 people there! Okay, for the rest of the day, got the following players on 8x10's, Rick Tocchet (4), Tomas Sjostrom (2), Louie DeBrusk (1), Michael Rupp (2) and now traded to Columbus, Cujo (3), Petre Nedved (2) and on a puck, Shane Doan (7) and on 4 pucks, David Tanabe (2), Boyd Devereaux (1), Mike Comrie (1), Derek Morris (2), and got David LeNevue to sign a puck for me. John Vanbiesbrouck who works for NHL radio was in town, got him to sign 2 cards for me, and Glen Healy from Hockey Night in Canada also signed a card for me.

Through it all, got some canucks like Fedorov (now a ranger), Cooke, Cloutier, Linden, Jovo, Park, Johnson (not a capitol), and a few others....

Next week brings through Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix and Colorado, if anyone wants players on these teams, e-mail me and let me know! Happy hunting to all!

Went for the Dallas Stars on the weekend...these guys are awesome for in-person autographs. Went both days they were here, got a team signed jersey the first day and a team signed stick the second day. Mark Bell said he signed already and blew everyone off (I will wait and get him at his hall-of-fame induction ceremony as he thinks he is that good). Also got Denis Savard to sign and 8x10 and a card. Got Matthew Barnaby, Martin Lapointe, Craig Anderson, Tyler Arnason, and Adrian Aucoin on cards. They are back in a few weeks, if anyone wants me to get them something, pretty much everyone is a sure thing. Next team up, Phoenix Coyotes!

went for Coyotes this week, the day before the game they had a practice and I was able to get 22 autographs on a jersey, including Gretzky!! He wouldn't sign before practice but did sign one each after. Later that night I was at the hotel and we got him inside again in the lobby. He signed one each and took pictures with!! The next day was game day and was an optional practice?? Bad move since they lost but whatever! Over the two days I got Shane Doan to sign 8 pucks, Derek Morris 1 puck, Petr Nedved 1 puck and 2 8x10's, Mike Comrie 2 8x10's, Brian Boucher 4 8x10's and a Boyd Devereau to sign an 8x10. Also got Trevor Linden and Ed Jovanovski to sign an 8x10 after their practice.

Today is Colorado, but I'm heading down to Seattle for the Cowboys!

This week the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets were in town. First up the Wild.

The trip didn't forecast well as the team played the night before in Alberta which usually means they had an optional morning skate. Also learned that Gaborik was not on the trip. Here goes

I got a story to go with this one

I sent a card for my set to iginla about a year and a half ago. a month later i got it back but there was a different card in the sase signed. i thought they got mixed up and he put someone elses mail in my envelope. i used all my canadian stamps so i never was able to send back to him. but tooday i got my set card back in the mail and im so confused because i am positive that i only sent to him once and this is the second time i got him back.

Last 2 days went for the Colorado Avalanche, pretty much everyone signed with the exception of Alex Tanguay who signed for 4 poeple and that was it. I got a jersey done by everyone except him as well as multiple photos of guys like Blake, Aebischer, Laperrier, Turgeon, May, Boughner and others.

Last night the Hall of Fame oldtimers 72 Canada Russia game was in town. A lot of no shows that played in the Toronto game like Cam Neely, Paul Henderson, Larry Murphy, Slava Fetisov too name a few but I did manage to get Vladimir Krutov on 2 8x10's and 2 cards, Billy Smith on 2 8x10's, Glenn Anderson on 2 8x10's, Steve Shutt on 2 8x10's, Dale Hawerchuk on 2 8x10's, Valdimir Yakushev on 2 8x10's, Dave Schultz on 6 8x10's, Bryan Trottier on 2 8x10's as well as Alexander Semak, Alexei Kasatonov, German Titov, Valeri Kamensky, and Dmitri Mironov to sign 2 cards each. I also bought an autographed Paul Henderson DVD which is a 60 minute tribute to the famous goal.

Went for Detroit, it was awesome. EVERYBODY SIGNED. Normally Chelios doesn't sign anything anymore but he did the day after the game for the one person who asked, everyone else didn't ask as they have been shot down for years, unfortunately I was one of them. I got a jersey with 23 sigs on it including Yzerman, Datsyuk was the toughest only signing the day he left and I wasn't there as I stayed up until 4am the night before after the game getting all the players coming back from the bar. Guys like Legace, Osgood, Lang, Lidstrom, Shanahan, Draper, Maltby, Cleary, Franzen and others I got multiples from but had to put the time in.

Next up is the Hawks tomorrow.

Anybody ever hound the New York Rangers? I've hounded a few games b4 but i havent got Jagr or Lundqvist yet. ANybody know where they ome out after games?
