Press Pass moved away from last year's Speedway and just turned it into Series 2, which is a continuation set of its first release of the year. They went as far to solidify this by continuing the numbering where they left off, though I'm sure racing collectors would have known either way based on the car design (exactly the same).

There are numerous subsets but two stand out. One is a Jimmie Johnson tribute as he pursues a record breaking 4th Sprint Cup title in a row. Like the Stewart and Logano predecessors, this set wasn't necessary and could have allowed more drivers to have cards. Accordingly, the second set is a tribute to Hendrick Motorsports. At least this set has a twist. Flip the cards over and you can create a mini poster of the team.

The highlight of this set in my opinion is the Pocket Portraits series. There are 5 variations ranging from 1 in virtually every pack to 1 in 5 boxes. The mini tobacco cards are a great homage to the early days of cards. The colors even give the sense they are tobacco cards. This is a wonderful chase set for collectors.

With only a guarantee of one memorabilia card per box, it may not seem like a great value. However, much like this box, there are many that yield multiple hits. So not only do you have that prospect, you get a complete set as well as something new to chase after. Looks like a winner to me.

Once again, I'd like to thank our wonderful sponsors at Press Pass for providing us with the opportunity to open and review this product. If interested in more information on this product or others, be sure to check them out at www.presspassinc.com (http://www.presspassinc.com).

Press Pass makes solid products and this is another one of them.

Pulling a full base set from a box is ALWAYS a huge plus in my book. The design is nice and the On-Tire autos are great. I like the mix of the new and retro designs and the photography is always top notch. It says you only get one hit per box, but pulling a box big like this is always great too.

Thanks Press Pass! Great product.

Thanks Press Pass for the box to review. Although I am not a racing fan theses cards are VERY appealing to the eye and if I were to get into racing this product def. would make me do so.

And to get a complete sset is always a bonus!!!

My favorites from the set are the Pocket Portraits and their variations. I like that the base cards are simple. Great break, Tony!

I really like this product, I think it got a bit overlooked with the big dawg Showcase looming. General impression...great stuff. Here are my small concerns/criticisms.

Autographs on tire pieces? Like the looks but worry that they may fade after a few years. Hopefully it's not an issue.

consistency in patches. Not from this box, but from what I've seen especially on ebay there are some MIND BLOWING beautiful patches center cut. then there are some that are pretty lame (just a tail of a sponsor logo)

This could be good, help put some in different $$ ranges, but the plain ones are blah for a big hit low numbered...and on the other end, the best ones, like the Harvick and Kyle Busch on the bay right now, those rival the samples I've seen from Showcase which would make ME ask...isn't PP2 about 1/3 the cost of showcase?? I just think it might have been bad timing to release a big gorgeous patch from a less expensive product right before Showcase.

other than these couple details, I think this product rocks as far as bang for your buck. Have 4 coming from Les in the delayed break, will post up my goodies when they arrive next week.

Nice break and review - a low numbered prospect auto pull is pretty nice...even nicer if he becomes the next Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon! Thanks Press Pass!
