See yah you no good whiner. Is your dad coming with you, to wherever you go, so he can whine about your minutes there as well???

Rumors recently have come up about him coming to Toronto cuz he's good friends with Mogilny. I really hope this doesn't happen though even if we can afford him.

Detroit hasn't respected Federov for the last couple years now... I hope he goes somewhere he will be respected.

I don't really agree with that. What was his main complaints? He wasn't the number one guy. He didn't get enough ice time. Last year, he played 20 minutes a game, more than any other forward. He was number one for 70 games until Yzerman came back. The result? His production was almost equalled, or, surpased by guys like Prospal, Whitney, Sanderson, Ronning, and a host of other guys. Granted, he his a great talent. But, if he wants more money than a player like Peter Forseberg, he had better be getting more points and playing better defense.

Personally, I'd rather have someone out there that tried hard every night. And although I am bitter now, I do respect what he did for Detroit and it will be hard seeing him in any other colors (Blue and Red?)

If I was the Wings I'd rather pay Federgv 10 mil than Yzerman 8 mil.

Thats true. Yzerman isn't an 8 million a year playe anymore. More like 4 or 5. Fedorov, on the other hand, I would be fine with signing for 8 a year.

Sergei on the ice does a lot more than just scoring goals. It's like the same thing when people complained about Kariya not scoring in the playoffs early on. Well, he's taking up 2 guys most of the time and having 1 guy shaddow him all the time... he's done his part by getting that respect from the other team and now other players on his line have to step up and do their part!

Yzerman doesn't deserve the money? He played 2 years ago in the playoffs with practically a broken leg that did later require major surgery. Your salary isn't based COMPLETELY on your talent. How about leadership? Stevie Y has taken these young guys like Datsyuk and Zeterberg under his wing. Yzerman has more heart and leadership ability than any other captain in the league.

Nobody in the NHL is worth 8 million anymore. The NHL can't survive with 8+ million dollar contracts.

The Wings haven't respected him? Offering him 50 million, when they know they're not going to be able to afford that next year is enough respect for me. He whines about every little thing. He has his daddy bad mouthing the organization, he's not a team player, he held out a couple years ago with a very good offer. There are a lot of big name players on this team, and he's the only one who won't except his role.

If the Wings don't sign him for 40 million dollars overs 4 years, do you think anyone in their right mind would give him a 5 year 50 million deal. No one can afford him, and he is not worth it. Yzerman is a great player because of his leadership, grit and experience, and that is not easy to find.
