is it fair that the cleveland cavaliers are purposely losing just to get the number one pick with which they will get Lebron James, should the NBA ban tanking or is it the teams choice whether to do it or not?

its not even setain that the cavs will get the first pick. its a lottery! tanking for the rest of the season ruins the integrity of the game but all the nba can do is keep the lottery

Meh, they can do what they want. It's not like they are going to make the playoffs so go for the next best thing.

this post is not right at all....no team in the NBA loses on purpose just to get the number one pick....in the long run if they did that and didnt get lebvron do you realize how much money they will lose? come on

The funny thing is that LeBron said he doesn't want to play for Cleveland after they fired Lucas.

What's wrong with this post. Have you watched any of the games the Cavs played this season? Have you heard what former coaches and players of the team have said about the Cavs tanking?

Do you honestly think that the Cavs would be happier if they won out their remaining games which would do nothing for them or would they be happier if they lost all of them making their chances to get James better?

I don't know if they're tanking, but they just suck, period. It's sad that people think they're tanking for LeBron when the real problem is that they are undisciplined and don't know how to utilize their talent.

Yes they do suck. But what I was trying to point out is that you have a former player (Bimbo Coles) and the former coach (forgot his name) both saying that the Cavs were purposely losing. I'm not saying that they said let's go out and lose all 82 games.

But right now they have nothing to play for. Their games are meaningless. They can't make the playoffs. The only thing that they can do is try and get a better draft pick.

And you people are crazy if you think that teams don't tank a season to try and get a better draft pick. It happens in football and basketball more than you think.

Bill Walton said that the Lakers when they were without Shaq and were doing horrible should have let Shaq heal and not have him play this season so that they could get a lottery pick and possibly James.
