I picked May 15th-22nd. His other wood will get in the way since that old fart's taking Viagra.

there were a whopping TWO votes, lol, and both were VERY close.

Palmeiro hit his 500th on May 11th.

Both votes had him hitting it next week.

very nice predictions!!!

Am I too late???? j.k.

Maybe Mcgriff will get his this year also, But I doubt it!

I think McGriff will hit about 18 or so more homers to get 500

Dodgers don't have a replacement 1st baseman, unless they're willing to go to the minors; in which case, why bring in McGriff at all?

He's usually a slow starter anyways.

I though he needed more than that? Like 32 or something.

I just remembered , He had 478 did'nt he? So that would be 22 for the season

Mcgriff needs 17 more to get to 500, he has 5 so far this year and 2 in the last 3 games.

it does his thing like usual he will get 30 jacks this year again.
I have a mcgriff gu bat (milestones) from the 2003 fleer tradition set, if any one is interested let me know. books for $10 will sell for $4

I've got several McGriff rookies, but it doesn't look like they'll go up much in value until years after he's retired and possibly elected to the Hall.

His detriment is that he's moved around a lot, and isn't identified with one team.

this topic was dead for a month and all of a sudden it is alive and well. Didn't think anyone would even find it again.
I just thought someone would make a new topic about his 500th

Molina -- I remembered your post, so went through the posts to look for it.

It was a good post; and I've got quite a few Palmeiro rookies, so it was in the back of my mind.

No thread is dead...people just forget, lolol.

I resurrected this one, and will do same for others when appropriate

"No thread is dead...people just forget"

This sounds like it would make a good quote to me.
I think I might make this my quote as long as there wouldn't be any copyright violations. lol.
You don't mind do you?

Molina...lol.

I'd like a royalty fee, please.

lolol.

Sure you can use it.

Just thought I would make sure.
You never can tell about some people these.
For all I know you could have sued me or something for copyright violations.lol

Molina... I reserve the right to keep a royalty fee, in case you ever become famous.

like being President of U.S., for example.

lolol

There is no way I will ever be president.
Way too much stress involved.
Plus I don't really like flying or being in large crouds.
Let alone giving speeches.
I could probably get you a job when I become owner of the Rangers though. How does assistant GM sound?

Molina..sure. I'd go for that.

Hell, I'd go for the job (whatever the title is) of hiring the ball-girls

Did etopps do an event for Palmeiro?
I haven't seen it.

Molina...lol. hey, I thought you were going to use my line. Don't change it! lol.

btw, the word is "exists"

And thanks for the mention, but you really didn't have to do that.

Molina00
05-14-2003, 08:04 AM
I don't know why I keep putting an "h" in there. Oh well.
I wanted to change it just slightly so I wouldn't have to give you a share of royalties. lol
I just thought I would mention you.
Don't really know why.

hey, no fair!! I'm gonna go after the royalty fees. and I'll hire that Cochrane dude. If he can get the murderer OJ Simpson out of jail, he'll definitely get me my money.

Molina ---you credited me b/c you have a conscience, which is nice to know!

Molina00

You go ahead and hire that Cochrane guy.
