All teams and players should have to take drug tests. It is the only way for the game to be fair.

the only reason they decided as a group not to take was that if they get 5% failure rate, it would become mandatory that they test for steriods, so refusing to take the test is automatic failure, they wanted it to become mandatory.

They stood together with a valid cause. Making drug tests mandatory does level the playing field... but many players do juice, and it would certainly change things. Better or worse, without some of these boarderline drugs, the McGwire/Sosa HR race never would have happened, and Sosa would be the #2 HR King to Bonds.

For sure Sosa would, we all new that bic mac was using hell, didn't he have commercials for the stuff he was using?
