the mlb was about to contract the Anaheim Angels the former world champs along with a a's, twins and other small market teams what is up with that?

i didnt hear about the Angels or A's, i heard it was the twins expos and devil rays

for once, I actually agree with you nyyanks... both the Expos & Brewers are a waste. Imagine Vlad was on even a half decent team... he'd be as big a name as Piazza or Giambi. Do the Brewers even have a semi-star these days? I hardly pay any attention to their existance as it is.

If anyone should be contracted it should be the Devil Rays(consistenly baseballs worst team) and the Brewers(How many people actually know this team exists?). Didn't the Expos have like an 83-81 record last year? I know they did better than usual.
Just too bad they can't afford more or they would be a team to reckoned with. Another thing about the brewers. The biggest name guys they have are Richie Sexson(which is not all that bad) and Eric Young. Biggest name the D'Rays have now is Rey Ordonez. That's sad.

The only reason why the Brewers have not been brought up in contraction talks is because they are owned by Bud's sister or something. He wanted to contract the Twins so that he could have a bigger marketshare of the Midwest with the Brewers. But if I had to contract 2 teams it would have to be the Devil Rays and the Expos.

LOL outside of ny sports we probably do share a lot of common opinions!! I can't wait to see when Vlad is a free agent and the money he gets, he deserves it and hopefully will go to a contender, heck maybe the Mets or Yanks. He will become a star amongst stars with the fans immediatley (AROD, SOSA, BONDS)IMO

There is absolutely no way Angels get contracted now that they have won the title.

It's gonna be Expos, Devil Rays. Maybe even the Marlins (yea, they did win the title, but that damnnn owner then let everyone go).

No matter who the team is, baseball needs to be contracted. Too many teams, plummeting attendance, overprice athletes, ridiculous ticket and parking prices.

Yes, I would say contract the Brewers, but Bud Selig has too much self interest in the equation to even consider it. :(

I think what they wanted to do was to contract the teams that do not turn a profit and I think that the Expos and Twins were hurting financially. I think that the Brewers are actually one of the most profitbale teams because they have some deal with the new stadium they got. I say we contract Selig!
