To me defense seems more important, but having a great defense and not excecuting on offense doesnt get you to the Super Bowl. mtduff4208 03-21-2003, 02:35 PM i think the pats have the better defense but their line is horrible against the run...i think they will use one of their first round picks to improve their line gioperation 03-21-2003, 03:39 PM the ravens did it with D, the bucs did it with D, the packers with D, the bears with D, the cowboy, 49'ers with D, oh well I guess defense wins games. Look out for the pat's D Ryan stkmtimo 03-21-2003, 08:09 PM Patriots have a pretty good defense, would doubt it's the best in the NFL. Tim podstock 03-24-2003, 01:51 AM the 49ers, at their very best, only had an above-average defense. No defense from our championship years, 1981 / 1984 / 1988/ 1989 / 1994 can compare to the Ravens or the Bears of 1985. For us to win, we just need an above average defense, b/c our offense is just PHENOMENAL. That said, we're going to be in trouble next year. Our CBs are horrific (that dude from Miami has ***GOT**** to be converted from CB to free safety or strong safety), and 49ers can't win the west if they can't cover Isaac Bruce and Tory Holt. I am hoping Niners draft more corners and defense in general. Our offense is fine; we can patch holes with free agent pick ups. jonsportscardz 03-30-2003, 07:40 PM WE HAVE A HORRIBLE DEFENSE AGAINST THE RUN. BUT THEY WILL BEEF IT UP HOPEFULLY THIS YEAR AS THEY HAVE STARTED,AS YOU-ALL NO....SECOND WE NEED SOME TALL RECIEVERS....CUZ WE HAVE TO MANY SHORT RECIEVERS GOOD GUYS BUT SMALL,VERY SMALL, I GO EVERYYEAR TO TRAINING CAMP..AND THESE GUYS ARE SMALLER THAN ME LOL.......ANYWAY THEY R GREAT AND WE LOVE THEM HERE....BUT ANYWAY I AM HAPPY I AM GOING TO SEE RB, ANTWOINE WOMACK.I SEEN HIM IN COLLEGE ,SO THIS IS HIS FIRST YEAR BACH FROM INJURY KEEP YOUR EYE ON HIM AND OH YES IF DEION BRANCH CAN STAY HEALTHY......GO PATS..... jonsportscardz 03-30-2003, 07:44 PM PS ABOUT THE OUR LINE IS HORRIBLE,,,IT CANT BE TO HORRIBLE THE YEAR BEFORE LAST WE WON SUPERBOWL WITH SAME LINE..MAYBE THEY R NOT LIKE YOU ALL SAY RALLYING AROUND BRADY...AGAIN,,,,YOU REMEMBER BLEDSOE 1,2 SACK....SAME THING..WE DONT KNOW WHAT LINE IS GOING TO SHOW UP THIS YEAR I HOPE ITS THE SUPERBOWL LINE..LOL...PS.FINALLY BRADY HAS A QB COACH..CYA........PATS #1///// podstock 03-30-2003, 08:12 PM Pats have the better defense; but I think the Raiders, as a team, can beat the Pats should they meet in next year's playoffs. Go Rice!!! Looking forward to another wonderful season from the greatest wide receiver in NFL history. |
