What is everyone's opinion of the following scenario:

I just found a 1986 Donruss Rookies, brand new, sealed in its plastic, while going through a bunch of cards.

I saw a Barry Bonds PSA 9 going for over $75 on Ebay; but the Donruss Rookies set themselves are only going for about $35 or so.

Should I take the chance, open the pack, and get the Barry Bonds graded PSA?

Or just keep the pack sealed?

What would y'all do?

Welcome podstock. Be careful opening the pack if you're going to open it. BGray recommended using latex gloves to avoid any damage to the card. You can ebay the pack with Bonds on front or get it graded. I'd recommend BGS over PSA. But that's MHO.

If you're confident it's going to be graded at least a 9, then by all means go for it. You know though it wouldn't hurt to put it on eBay with say a reserve of $50 or something just to see what kind of loot you could get for it without busting it open and sending it in to get graded.

open it, get the bonds, sell it, and buy something really good.
