View Full Version : Rude rude rude rude!
Thompson96034 08-28-2009, 12:50 PM Okay. So I just sent Percy Pringle III a message, and I was being very nice and honest, and I wasn't being demanding at all, I asked if it was possible if I could receive one. I put the subject name as "Very Important!". I understand that it wasn't the best subject to put as the title, but then he relpies back these exact words.
"VERY IMPORTANT huh? You have a snowballs chance in **** getting an autograph with a subject line like that.
~Percy"
That's just a little to rude. I don't know, what do you guys think?
palantri 08-28-2009, 12:52 PM i think he was right- lying to people who you are asking for a free autograph is pretty rude yourself
JesRey 08-28-2009, 12:54 PM I can understand where he's coming from. He expects to read the e-mail for somethign Very important like you titled it. Then he reads that it's nothing important
sivjosh 08-28-2009, 12:59 PM I had to look up PP3. He's probably got exact numbers on a snowball's chance in ****.
demonpower55 08-28-2009, 01:02 PM His wikipedia page reads "He is currently a funeral businessman."
So, a "very important" subject title most likely doesn't include an autograph request.

I know I said that I understand that, and it was wrong of me, but I think he could of been a little nicer, or maybe I misunderstood his message for him being rude, I don't know.
palantri 08-28-2009, 01:05 PM no, i think his message was pretty clear. You blew it on that one, so learn from the mistake, be more truthful in future autograph email requests, and dont count on getting him- ever

No I mean like I don't know if he was being rude. I am a fan of him though, so I wasn't lying about that. But I understand what everyone is saying, I shouldn't of put that in my title. I told him I apologized awhile ago though.
sivjosh 08-28-2009, 01:21 PM It's not the end of the world.
Thompson96034 08-28-2009, 01:43 PM It's not the end of the world.
I know it's not, but it's the fact that I bothered someone, I just don't like that feeling.
tboculosis 08-28-2009, 02:36 PM He wasn't being rude, just being real. To include an email heading like "Very Important", only to open up to be an autograph request is quite preposterous and pretty low. Considering that they handle life and have to deal with business outside like everybody else. Why not just be honest and title the email as "Autograph Request" or something. That way they'll know it's an autograph request and respond to you in a different manner instead of turning to deception.
HueCubs 08-28-2009, 11:20 PM Leaving the subject blank = no problem
AutoCentral 08-30-2009, 01:56 AM usually in your title put like Dear, and the persons name...that always works for me...good luck next time..
Turd Ferguson 08-30-2009, 03:18 AM I agree with whoever Percy is. When I've sent email request I've always just put "Autograph request" in the subject heading, that way the person knows exactly what the email is about before they read it. I've had a lot of success through the mail, so obviously the people I've asked didn't mind the subject title.
mastervin636 09-30-2009, 03:29 AM Quit worrying about it,im sure he's not worried lol
indyreds 09-30-2009, 03:55 PM All I would say is to be honest in the subject line and the email itself! I actually have did a good number of email requests and think it is even more fun to email a few of these celebrities back and forth. There are more than a few celebs that respond back to their fans. Just remember that they are also real people and that you need to treat them with respect. You are asking a favor from them, not the other way around!
harley2001 10-29-2009, 09:40 PM He has always been nice when I have emailed him to wish him a happy birthday as I do it in return when he said it to my son a few years back. You got to remember he reads ALL his emails he gets.
kardkid74 11-02-2009, 09:58 PM i just put autograph request in the headline - that way they can just pass it up, or if they decide to be nice, they know whats coming when they open the email.
