Please join me and the rest of the SCF Staff in congratulating our newest member of the Hockey Super Collector Hall of Fame: gretzky_collector! Don't let the username fool you, though, Ian is a die-hard collector of Jordan Staal, and has amassed an amazing collection. The Staal brothers have a very dedicated following in the hobby, and while there are many great Jordan collections out there, Ian's is a cut above the rest. His collection has grown tremendously in recent months; while staff was deliberating he probably added at least another dozen very nice cards.

Coolest story card
The bubble mailer arrived ripped up and had tire tread marks all over it! Card was in a two piece 10 count box and still in perfect condition!

Also, Ian wishes to add a thanks to :love0030:pensfan254858:love0030:. He sold Ian the biggest and best lot of Staal's he ever bought in one transaction. He gave Ian a great deal too.
And a few words from the Super Collector himself about his collection:
*Why you think you are a super collector
I pretty much guarantee it the the biggest (and the best) Jordan Staal collection on the planet.
Jordan Staal is all I collect. Every cent I spend means another new Staal for the PC. Every trade I make means a new Staal for the PC (or atleast trade bait for a new Staal)
Thirteen of the RC's I have are graded BGS 9.5 Gem Mint. The others, either (a) no gem mint exist (b) have never seen a gem mint copy
I have recently made a website to showcase my collection and hopefully aquire cards I need. (site address is http://jordanstaal11.webs.com )
Most of the cards I need are extremely high book value or extremely low print run. (I have a want list if you want to see the insane cards I need of his)
* Why did you start collecting this player:
Truthfully, I was amazed at his 7 shorthanded goals as a rookie. That is why my favorite card I have of him is his 07-08 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Achievements numbered out of /7.
I think he is the biggest workhorse in the leauge. He never gives up! Hope is never lost!
He is by no means a high scorer but I think he is a major contributor to the Penguins. It's a shame he is so overshadowed by Crosby and Malkin.
I like the fact he is from a hockey family. I would like to collect all the Staal brothers but I have my hands full enough with Jordan, lol.
I think he is as tough as nails. He'll take a slash, draw a penalty, then come back for more.

One more time, let's hear it for our newest super collector!
