Upper Deck secured four NHL stars to sign free autographs for fans

Upper Deck will co-sponsor the 2008 NHL All-Star Trading Card and Memorabilia Show and the NHL Rockin’ Skate 2008 event next week in Atlanta. The show is free to the public and will take place at the CNN Center from 8:00a.m.-7:00p.m. (EST) on Saturday, Jan. 26 and from 12:00p.m.-6:00p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Several special events have been planned for the Upper Deck booth for the 2008 NHL All-Star Trading Card and Memorabilia Show. As the sole NHL trading card licensee, Upper Deck finds it important to invest heavily in shows like this. As a testament to this, Upper Deck will have four different NHL players signing at the booth signing free autographs during this two day event.

The autograph line-up will showcase the strong youth movement in hockey this year. Saturday will feature sensational defensemen Erik Johnson of the St. Louis Blues and Jack Johnson of the Los Angeles Kings. On Sunday, Upper Deck goes on the offensive, with Chicago’s dynamic duo of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. The signings are free to the public
for an autographed 5×7 picture provided by Upper Deck and they will be available one per person on a first come, first serve basis. Times for these signings are listed below:

Upper Deck will also have a “Lucky Shot Game” open to kids where they are just a slap shot away from winning great prizes. A special trading card zone will be set up as well to allow collectors to trade with other hockey enthusiasts. These programs are free to fans in attendance.

Upper Deck is also excited to co-sponsor the NHL Rockin’ Skate 2008. While the NHL All-Stars take the ice for practice, another all-star lineup of performers and celebrity hosts will take the stage. Platinum recording artists Jonas Brothers will perform for the fans in attendance. Global superstar Usher and “Friday Night Lights” star Taylor Kitsch will emcee the festivities.
