2009 Press Pass Football Card Preview
With the buzz for the 2009 draft class coming to a crescendo, Press Pass Inc. has announced that 2009 Press Pass Football is going to be released just in time for the Easter holiday on Friday, April 10 and will deliver five on-card signatures per box. This will be the first place collectors can find on-card autographs and rare game-used collegiate jersey cards of the biggest names from the upcoming rookie class. Along with possible top 5 picks Matthew Stafford, Michael Crabtree and Aaron Curry, collectors will also be able to find autos of Mark Sanchez, Jeremy Maclin, Knowshon Moreno, Chris “Beanie” Wells, Percy Harvin, and many others. They will also be able to find game-used jerseys of many of the draft’s top names, such as Sanchez, Maclin, Josh Freeman, Darrius Heyward-Bey and LeSean McCoy.
Each hobby box will deliver five signatures, with seven distinct autograph levels being featured in the program. The bronze Press Pass Signings are accented with each player’s school logo in metallic ink. The silver level is numbered to 199 and features the player’s uniform number, while the gold level is numbered to 99 and features a gridiron “X’s and O’s” pattern. Rare Power Pick Autographs showcase signatures of select standout players in the draft and are sequentially numbered to 250 or less, and collectors can also find the new Power Picks Showbound parallel this year, numbered to only 25. Finally, autographs from select standouts such as Crabtree, Stafford, and Sanchez can also be found exclusively at Wal-Mart or Target and only 25 of each player are available. As an added bonus, a limited amount of “red ink” and “inscription” signatures can be found throughout all versions of the 2009 autographs. There will also be three levels of game-used college jersey cards in Press Pass 2009 Football, for collectors to chase.
“The diligence and hard work of NFL Players, the Press Pass product team, and the players themselves have enabled us to release our product with no redemptions, and over two weeks before the draft,” said Nick Matijevich, Director of Product Development for Press Pass Inc. “We’re incredibly excited to deliver collectors the 1st autographed cards of the 2009 season for Matthew Stafford, Percy Harvin, Chris “Beanie” Wells, Knowshon Moreno, Aaron Curry, Hakeem Nicks, Shonn Greene and many others.”
