A new CEO and the return of a popular promotion will be among the highlights of Panini America’s participation in this year’s Hawaii trade conference.

Several Panini America staff members who are familiar faces as former Donruss employees, will be on-hand participating in both the Retailer Roundtable and Meet the Manufacturer events. Panini America will also be introducing its new CEO, Michael Eisenstein, to the industry.

“This has always been a key event for our industry,” said Panini America VP Mike Anderson. “It’s imperative for us to meet and discuss where the industry is headed and introduce the Panini vision to the industry.”

This year’s Black Boxes will contain six cards – three 1-of-1 Press Plates (two of which are autographed), two additional autographed cards and one non-autographed card. One of the cards will be slabbed.

“The ‘Black Box’ has developed into the signature collectible of the event, so its only fitting we add as much content as possible to them for the shop owners that are making the commitment to attend during a tough economy,” adds Anderson.

The conference will be held just days prior to the NFL Draft, and with Panini America being the “Official Trading Card of the 2009 NFL Draft,” cards from some of the top picks will be produced and distributed at the event, as well.
