Montreal Card Show Report

By Karine Hains aka Pheebs888

For us card collectors, attending a card show always makes for a fun day but I’ll tell you what makes it even more special; attending it to promote Sports Card Forum. Not only do you get to tell plenty of people about an awesome site but chances are you get to meet members in person as well, allowing you to put faces on the numerous user names you see on a daily basis. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to attend a card show in Montreal to spread the word about SCF.

NHL: Is the Violence Out of Hand?

By Patrick Yaghoobians aka THETorontoRaptor

It has happened many times in the past, and it looks to be a recurring scene almost every other NHL game that happens. The hits. Not your average, clean hit, but the nasty one, which leaves someone lying down on the ice, face first, wondering “What happened?”

Just this week, the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens met for the first time ever since they got into the huge fight which involved goaltenders Carey Price and Tim Thomas. All was going well until the hit happened. Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadiens had just dumped the puck More >

My NASCAR

By Cherie Mollohan aka Tradinpaint

Racing is my favorite sport. Why? Well, in NASCAR, you can meet the drivers, go to the races and hear the crew chief and your driver talk, if you buy special tickets, you can go to victory lane, and Press Pass makes some really cool memorabilia! They have race used: helmet, glove, shoe, sock, shirt, firesuit, tire, sheetmetal, pit wall sign, and more. That is a lot of fun. Of course, they also have autographs.

There are quite a few tracks; therefore, I cannot say that I have a favorite. I enjoy: Bristol, Martinsville, and Charlotte. Really, my More >

This Event Changed the Way I See Sports Card Collecting…

By Guy Mitchell aka sweetg1

There are two different events that have changed the way that I view card collecting. I’ll describe them both here, as they reflect on the good and the bad experiences that I’ve had.

I’ll start with the bad. To begin, I believe that most people are good and that everyone deserves a chance to be considered good unless they prove otherwise. This especially applies to kids. After graduating from college, I had the pleasure of working a few weekends a month for one of the local dealers, selling at his table at shows. He was the promoter More >

And This Time the Cards Won

By Stephen Duell aka Spuds1961

Yes I’ll admit it,I’m addicted to half price blasters whenever and wherever I find them. The only problem is I am a very disorganized person, I have this habit of opening the cards and then putting them in the plastic bag and putting the bag in a 33 gallon tub.

Herein lies my problem,I can remember pulling certain cards but finding them is another story. Whatt sparked this article is I bought a 2010 UD series 1 baseball blaster, which made me remember I had pulled a Posey RC from when this issue first cameout. Well I had More >
