Is profiting from a players sudden death right or wrong? I have seen all to often people try to make a quick buck on eBay when a player dies a sudden death whether it is in the NFL or any other sport. It happens a lot not only on eBay and even on other forums such as sports card trading sites. Recently the Denver Broncos lost a young player in his second year; Kenny McKinley. Generally he was a common player meaning he was not a star and his cards didn’t sell well if More >

I have been a collector since 1988. That year, the card we all wanted was the Matt Nokes Topps RC. Nokes had an incredible season, and his cards were highly sought after in the hobby. My! How times have changed over the years… Nokes faded after that season, and the other sought after rookie card, the elusive 1988 Donruss Gregg Jeffries, can now be found with the Nokes in common bins across the country. So many things have changed between then and now. But I have never lost my passion for these wonderful pieces of cardboard, More >

Baltimore Ravens (10-7) at Indianapolis Colts (14-2)
Baltimore took out the Patriots last week, and gave Colts fans a sigh of relief. Look for Baltimore with their strong defense, good young quarterback and tough running game to hang around and make the Colts work for it, but I expect Peyton Manning and one of the best offenses in the league to pull away late.
Prediction: Colts 27, Ravens 16
New York Jets (10-7) at San Diego Chargers (13-3)

We all have reasons to collect who or what we collect. Be it an unconditional love for a certain team or an immense respect for a given athlete, each collector has got their very own motivation. Personally, I actively collect Patrick Roy because from the age of 6 years old, he made me fall in love with both hockey and the goaltender position. I grew up watching his every move and even copying his style even though I was a goaltender in a very different sport…I was the only handball goaltender to use the butterfly style More >
