Where Did the Heroes Go?
Jun 26th
By Henry Salazar aka FL Henry
I started collecting basketball cards when I was eighteen years old. Before then I did not even know they made basketball cards. I bought as many basketball cards as I could as quickly as I could get my hands on them. Granted, that did not amount to too many cards as at that time I was making $4.25 an hour while I went to school. I spent hours combing through my collection sorting the players I had, making note of the players I was missing, and reading the stats and the personal information on the More >
Noble Monuments

For years, I have wanted to do what so many other collectors across the world have wished to do. Create a set of sports cards for a major manufacturer and here is my opportunity to at least be heard by other collectors and possibly receive feedback.
To begin, this set would be a basketball card set only. With that stated, I would assemble a panel of several expert NBA analysts who would vote and determine who have been the top 20 players, at each position, to play the game of professional basketball, for a total of More >

I will start this article off by saying my wife and I did not meet in the usual way other couples meet, she being from Mississippi and I from New York. We had to talk to each other almost an hour everyday doing stock trades, this started in 1990. Two years down the road we knew we had to get together,so I flew into Mississippi to meet the person who probably knew More >

In the trading card collecting world there are many different card manufacturers to choose from. That is part of what makes this hobby so great, the variety of different products out there to choose from. Choosing a favorite card manufacturer is difficult due to the number of choices and great companies out there, but to me there is one that stands out: In The Game. They consistently produce fun, unique sets that deliver a great value.
One of the reasons In The Game is my favorite manufacturer is the fact that they make many specific sets More >
A Journey Through my Life and Card Collecting
Jun 19th

I was around 6 or 7 years old when I received my first baseball cards. It was the early 90s and my babysitter had another child about my age. Little did he know, by giving me my first stack of baseball cards he would start an addiction that would probably last through a lifetime.
My parents were very supportive. They would buy me binders and card pages for these cards I was accumulating. Every holiday and birthday up until their divorce always included baseball cards of some sort. Small retail boxes and packs of cards would always More >
Keeping Kids Interested

To me there is no better joy than ripping open a pack of wax, finding that card you have been searching high and low for, or trading cards with another member here on Sports Card Forum. These are the things that card collecting and trading are all about. However, card collecting can be an expensive hobby at times, and this may possibly turn some kids away from the hobby. So what can be done? Here are a few of my ideas to help bring this wonderful hobby to a new generation.
Companies should produce a wide range More >
