2007-2008 Mini-Jersey Hobby Box
Description The 2007-2008 edition of the Mini-Jersey brand features base cards with a picture of the player featured in action against a light blue backdrop and three coloured circles. The name and number of the players are also evident in the lower right corner and the logos of both Upper Deck (top left corner) and Mini-Jersey (bottom left corner) complete the base card design. Overall, it is a simple design, and in some ways, it makes it evident that you are not in the presence of one of Upper Deck’s higher end products.

Athletes need to protect their collection (trophies, jerseys, memorobilia & etc.).
When I saw a recent member talk about buying a safe it made me think. If collectors are willing to protect their cardsand their collections, how come you never hear about athletes that are protecting their first game ball, their first jersey, etc?
Is there really a difference between collectors and professional players that perhaps we are both careless in not protecting our valued collections?
So I dug up a few quotes and references to use as examples:

We all check the value on some of our better cards or ones that we are curious of what they could possibly be. I know myself, I have checked mine numerous times before. But where to these values come from? Well Beckett is the only one I know of.
How do these values get made though? I have no idea, and I think most people wouldn’t know how this is figured out either. So, the thing here is we rely on a book with prices on it. We have become almost suckered into believing whatever this book prints in it.

Has anyone else figured out that whenever teams make the playoffs, their cards usually go up in sell value? Well I know this, and I’m sure many others do as well. For an example, the New York Giants were not talked about and no one really stood out besides Eli Manning, but when they won the Super Bowl, the players prices went up and had a bigger demand.
Sure Eli Manning has sold decent throughout his career, but players like Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, and even Amani Toomer are selling better than he has in a long time. Also, MLB and More >
Has anyone else had the feeling lately that something within Topps may be different than usual? They may be not doing the greatest lately or something along those lines? How do I figure this? Well I’m about to list a few good reasons.
First off, notice that they have been doing misprints in the last few years, maybe trying to get off more exposure than they already have been getting. You had the Derek Jeter misprint with Mickey Mantle and George W. Bush. Now, this year it’s the Red Sox team card with Rudy Giuliani misprint for this year. Coincidence or More >
As you can probably tell by my previous articles, I love hockey with a passion, and collecting cards is the best outlet I have found to fuel my addiction. In the numerous hours I have spent on the forum, I have found out about fan packs. They basically are a pack sent to you by a team at your request containing loads of free goodies.
When I first read about this, I told myself there is no way a team would send one of those to England, the shipping charges would be a killer. However, two weeks later, another member who More >
