Values On Cards
Apr 13th
We all check the value on some of our better cards or ones that we are curious of what they could possibly be. I know myself, I have checked mine numerous times before. But where to these values come from? Well Beckett is the only one I know of.
How do these values get made though? I have no idea, and I think most people wouldn’t know how this is figured out either. So, the thing here is we rely on a book with prices on it. We have become almost suckered into believing whatever this book prints in it.

Playoffs Affecting Sports Cards?
Apr 8th
Has anyone else figured out that whenever teams make the playoffs, their cards usually go up in sell value? Well I know this, and I’m sure many others do as well. For an example, the New York Giants were not talked about and no one really stood out besides Eli Manning, but when they won the Super Bowl, the players prices went up and had a bigger demand.
Sure Eli Manning has sold decent throughout his career, but players like Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, and even Amani Toomer are selling better than he has in a long time. Also, MLB and More >
Topps may go under?
Apr 5th
Has anyone else had the feeling lately that something within Topps may be different than usual? They may be not doing the greatest lately or something along those lines? How do I figure this? Well I’m about to list a few good reasons.

You had the Derek Jeter misprint with Mickey Mantle and George W. Bush. Now, this year it’s the Red Sox team card with Rudy Giuliani misprint for this year. Coincidence or More >
A Nice Surprise

As you can probably tell by my previous articles, I love hockey with a passion, and collecting cards is the best outlet I have found to fuel my addiction. In the numerous hours I have spent on the forum, I have found out about fan packs. They basically are a pack sent to you by a team at your request containing loads of free goodies.
When I first read about this, I told myself there is no way a team would send one of those to England, the shipping charges would be a killer. However, two weeks later, another member who More >
The Ambiguity of a Player Collector
Mar 30th
You’ve seen them. They scour trading forums like a vulture searching for carrion. They’ve instituted a fascist dictatorship over your favorite athlete on eBay. Yep, you guessed it, they’re player collectors.
I’ve often wondered what makes player collecting so appealing. As a team collector, I often feel the need to even out my cards if I feel that I have too many of one player and not enough of another. But, as I sat down and thought about it, I came up with a few reasons why there are so many player collectors out there.
The most obvious reason is because they More >
