This year’s shortened NHL season is going to prove to be a monotonous challenge, so to speak. Fans, although ecstatic that hockey is back, are more than likely not too excited about the schedule. Not facing off against out-of-conference opponents, playing against teams twice in a row, and what seems like an ultra-repetitive schedule in general might make fans shy away from the sport a bit. But for those dedicated fans who stuck with the league through the lockout, and look to stay dedicated to their team throughout the season, this article is for you. I More >

Throughout the summer of 2012, Montreal Canadiens fans waited with nervous anticipation for the announcement that the team had re-signed its star blueliner, P.K. Subban. With only a limited window of opportunity before a presumed lockout, other NHL clubs were racing to lock up their key on-ice personnel for as long as possible while the rules still permitted long-term back-diving contracts. One with rules that would promote a better, faster, more exciting game. One with a new breed of superstar unlike any we had seen in a generation.
Gone would be the days that clutching and grabbing would impede the NHL’s best players. With the likes of Sidney Crosby & Alexander Ovechkin now the poster boys for the ‘New NHL’,
Ever had one of those weeks where you realize you’re trying too hard get a trade done? Yeah me too. After some time away from the hobby, I was eager to again experience the rush that comes from making two collections better all at once.
My last trade left only good memories since it was two friends helping each other out with their PCs, netting me this card:
A modest card to most but significant because it’s my first multicolor jersey swatch of Martin St. Louis.
But instead of finding my stride, I spent the better part of my return trying to More >
