Next week, on the 15th December, Panini brings the basketball fans a budget friendly release; Rookies and Stars Longevity. Set to sell for between $40 and $50, this product is sure to please the budget of collector’s friends and family on the hunt fot the perfect Christmas present. Each box will include 10 packs of 8 cards each and the boxes should contain 2 autographs or memorabilia cards, 2 Ruby cards and 1 other hit. Few pictures have been released so far but it very well may be worth keeping an eye on this release!
Panini will start 2011 by unleashing 2010 Panini Playoffs Contenders Football on the collecting masses. Set for release on the 5th January 2011, each box will include 24 packs of 5 cards which will set you back around $110 to $120 online. Get ready to chase something as good as gold, this product will indeed introduce the industry’s first ever 14-karat gold trading card. A miscellaneous collector’s dream, this product mixes sports cards , Hollywood star cards and historic event cards. The Americana brand used to be released under the Donruss banner but as Panini bought out Donruss in March 2009, it is not surprising to see them re-brand the release. While Donruss Americana use to contain 4 packs of 5 cards per box, the Panini offering is an higher end product which includes a single pack of 5 cards for a suggested retail price of $200. Right on the heels of Christmas, Panini will launch the second edition of its Basketball Timeless Treasure brand which will hit the stores on the 29th December.
