Jan 21st
By Sean Berry aka # 1 Broncos Fan
Well I’m not sure where to start because this is something that has been going on for a while and just seems to be getting more and more out of control in my opinion, I remember growing up as a kid and my brothers and I would go collect pop cans and bottles and take them to the little corner market by where we lived, cash the cans in, then turn around and buy $.25 wax packs of baseball cards. Oh and buy a few candy items like $.05 bubble gum!!! Anyway we More >

With all the fuss about social networking in the new age of technology, one must look through all of its uses in order to fully understand it. Another year, another release of Artifacts from Upper Deck. Not even the strict constraint to produce “only” 11 sets this year could stop the folks at Sea Otter Place from producing Artifacts again. This year, a hobby box of Artifacts includes 10 packs of 4 cards each and should yield 3 memorabilia cards, 2 rookies and 1 rookie redemption card as well as 1 autographed card and 1 rare parallel card. For this assortment of hits, you can expect to have to fork out in excess of $75 and it can even go as high as More >
How to Determine the Value of your Whale When Pulled
Jan 8th
By Scott Kozlowski aka scottkoz20
On January 2, 2011, I was fortunate enough to purchase a 2009-10 tin of The Cup Hockey. I still do not know what made me thinking about or even why I decided to purchase this tin, but I am thankful that I listened to that voice. The 2nd to last card of the tin was a Matt Duchene Gold Auto Rookie Patch parallel numbered to 9!
This card is arguably the most coveted, if not one of the rarest rookie parallel cards one can find in this product. There is simply no better feeling to find a More >

By Karine Hains aka Pheebs888
Redemption. The mere mention of the word often suffice to send shivers down collector’s spine. Why you ask? Well, simply because pulling a redemption is by no mean a guarantee that you will get the card described on it. Think about it, you pull a card it’s there in your hands but if you pull a redemption you still have to redeem the code and hope (pray) that the athlete will a)sign the card and b)return it to the card company. Then, you have to hope that it will be shipped out promptly to you and More >
