What Does Card Collecting Mean to you?
Nov 30th
By Jeff Hacket aka txtaz1102
What does card collecting mean to you? To me, growing up it was another way to connect with my parents, they would buy the packs of cards and we would open them and spend time together going over the cards we had gotten and the ones we still needed. My mother and I could sit for a few hours a week talking and putting together the sets that we were working on. It was a great moment in time and something I still remember when looking at all those boxes of cards that are still sitting More >

What Is to Be Done
Nov 29th
By Michael Reuben aka mreuben
Ever since I returned to the hobby in full force a few years ago, I’ve been reading blog after blog all proposing different ideas which would bring flocks of people to the hobby. More high-end products. More low-end products. Make it easier for set-builders. Make it more exciting for white-whale chasers. For prospectors. For kids. Of course, all of these proposals are worthwhile and needed for any good industry. As someone who is back fully into the hobby I say we don’t need to go out there and expect to find the magic bullet that will More >

The Baseball Road Trip
Jul 24th
By Sean McCafferty aka 30ranfordfan
I’m not going to write another cliché filled article about why Toronto’s Rogers Centre is a bad place to watch baseball. If you go to Google, and spend about 30 seconds searching, you’ll be able to find lots of them.
Rogers Centre
Truth is the Rogers Centre (formally known as Skydome) is a great place to watch a game. The seats are as comfortable as you’ll find throughout Major League Baseball, and there isn’t a seat with a bad sightline in the house. It might get a little stuffy in there when the roof is closed, and it More >

The Problem with Today’s Card Collecting Is…
Jan 12th
By Guy Mitchell aka sweetg1
Let me start by saying what I like about the hobby of card collecting. I like that I can collect (and research) things that interest me. For me in this hobby, it’s mostly about collecting Negro League memorabilia and cards. Obviously, not everyone is interested in my type of collection and that is okay. My interest in such a collection began when I learned that my great-uncle played in the Negro Leagues, so I began researching the Negro Leagues and began wanting to know more about them. I then started focusing a collection towards the players More >
