Beckett – do they have a clue?
Apr 9th
We’ve all heard it before, whining and endless complaining on how Beckett value cards, or rather what mysterious ways they conclude the prices on some cards. The criticism is a bit exaggerated, as they’re far more accurate today then five years ago. But the question popped up in my head again the last gone week. Some very odd buys and sells makes me wonder if they have a clue.

So as per usual, I bought a New Release Price Guide on Becket.com because I like to know the value of what I am trading for. “I didn’t realize there were so many!” cried the mother.
“How could they do this to my baby?” sobbed the father holding his wife as Turncoat walked past the grieving parents.
The detective stopped at the boy’s door. More >

It isn’t uncommon for collectors to experience small changes in the design and feel of Beckett magazines. The company makes small changes on a regular basis in order to keep their magazine something collectors want to turn to without becoming too repetitive.
But later on in 2008, the magazine will experience a complete overhaul.
Beckett has announced the new Beckett Sports Card Monthly magazine which will be a delight to collectors who deal in all sports, but a small annoyance for those who specialize in just one.
This new magazine will feature nearly 200 pages of content from all major More >
