Card of the Week: 2002 Upper Deck Fairway Fabrics Autographs Phil Mickelson
Apr 10th
With Tiger Woods stealing all the hype due to his phenomenal season, Phil Mickelson has been lost under the radar.
Phil is probably used to this as he has always followed closely in Tiger’s shadow, but coming into the Masters, let’s remember who has won two of the four Masters tourneys.
That is Phil Mickelson.
Now Phil will always be second best unti he can’t perform anymore. But, his cards will be still be a hot seller. He won’t command $16,000 for an autograph like Tiger does, but a card like the one above will still put you back around $200-$400.

Card of the Week: 2008 Upper Deck National Baseball Card Day Ian Kennedy
Apr 5th
With the passing of National Baseball Card, many collectors have a new set of cards, including Yankees prospect Ian Kennedy.
The Yanks are heavily relying on their young rotation to help them to their first World Series since 2003.
However, Kennedy’s first outing of 2008 didn’t look so stellar. He allowed six earned runs on four hits and four walks over 2 1/3 innings in a 13-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
This is just one game though and collectors aren’t going to stop demanding his stuff just because he had one bad day.
Card of the Week: 1999 Topps Gallery Heritage Ken Griffey Jr.
Mar 27th
I was scanning over the most recent Beckett Baseball Plus magazine over Easter weekend, and I for some reason stopped on the 1999 Topps Gallery page. And boy did the memories come back.
The 1999 Topps Gallery Heritage was always a set I wanted to complete, but as an 11-year-old, acquiring very popular $20 cards wasn’t the easiest task. In fact, I still don’t have one.
I didn’t have an original 1953 Topps card at that time either, but I have always loved the design of the set. When I first saw the add for these Heritage inserts, I thought I would More >
Card of the Week: 2007-08 Topps Tracy McGrady
Mar 15th
They’ve won 21 straight games. And he is the leader of their team.
Tracy McGrady is back to his old form. And he is experiencing a spike in card demand.
As the Rockets go into a rugged five game stretch, one has to wonder if they can continue the streak. I would say that is not going to happen. However, I don’t think a loss will really hurt McGrady’s demand.
The only thing that probably will is if he gets hurt or the Rockets tank in the playoffs. That being said, I wouldn’t be buying up McGrady right now either. He is aging More >
Card of the Week: 2008 Topps Heritage Real One Autos Yogi Berra
Feb 28th
With 2008 Topps Heritage being one of the most anticipated early releases of 2008, it’s no wonder that there is over 3,000 listings on eBay right now. This was one of the best cards I could find from the set, and boy is it a nice one.
Topps Heritage has always been known for on-card autographs and they delivered once again.
Card of the Week: 2000 Upper Deck Japanese Ovation Kosuke Fukudome
Feb 14th
While it did not gain the $80 book value that the Daisuke Matsuzaka card from the set did last year, the Kosuke Fukudome Upper Deck Ovation is now regarded as the second best card from the series.
Signed to a four year, $48 million contract by the Chicago Cubs in the offseason, Fukudome’s card hit eBay in waves.
As the hype died down, the card dropped to an eBay price of $5-$8 with a lot of nine recently selling for $30.
I would look for this card to jump a bit in value as baseball season gets underway especially if Fukudome does what More >
