Hockey is an amazing game to watch. The speed, the skill, the drama, the personalities (as long as they’re not rookies or goalies), and the intensity are a pure joy to behold. Nowhere is this truer than in the National Hockey League, the premier professional hockey league in North America and indeed the world. The best players from all over the globe dream of playing in the NHL and competing for the Stanley Cup. The constant tinkering with the game’s rules has allowed for continuous product improvement that makes the game more exciting for fans to More >

Here we go again. Another major star in the NHL goes down, due to a hit to the head, and the people at the NHL’s head office deem the hit okay, because there was no ‘intent’.Nope. You’re not reading that wrong. It’s okay that David Steckel’s shoulder runs into Sidney Crosby’s jaw, because Colin Campbell doesn’t think Steckel meant to do it.
You know what NHL? If you’d like to see an end to your star players ending up in the hospital then you need to do something. You need to make black and white rules. You More >

I know that for me, it has been a challenge to pick one particular card to chase, as there are just so many and too many options to keep you occupied. But after you have narrowed it down, it is always difficult with so many collectors these days. Anyone could have that particular PC card that you have been dying to More >

What is a super collector? Apparently, not me, at least not at Sports Card Forum.
The definition of Super Collector varies from person to person. To one person, it’s he or she who is trying to collect everything of their favorite team or player. I was that way for a while with Jaromir Jagr. I even had a cat named Jaromir, and a copy of his autobiography (Jagr’s, not the cat’s). Unfortunately, his health was failing and we had to have him put to sleep about 7 years ago (the cat, not Jagr). But the proliferation of More >

Much like the love of a sport, the passion of collecting and the addiction to this hobby is something that can be passed on from one generation to the next one or in some case, people catch the collecting bug on their own. Personally, I was initiated to both hockey and to the love of collecting by my father from a young age. In fact, some of my most cherished childhood memories are related to the love of hockey he and I shared. From my introduction to the world of hockey cards to the Christmas I More >
