Card of the Week: 1971 Topps Bert Blyleven RC

As the 2008 Hall of Fame voting comes upon us, one can wonder if a derserving candidate will finally get his due. And I’m not talking about Goose Gossage.
I’m talking about Bert Blyleven.
Nevermind his sometimes questionable demeanor, Blyleven was still one of the top pitchers in baseball in the 1970s and 1980s despite just two All-Star appearances and a .534 winning percentage.
He did win 287 games, had a 3.31 ERA, 242 complete games, 60 shutouts, and nearly a 3 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio.
