Approximately twenty-two times per year, I have the great joy of doing my initial run-through of a new hockey product’s checklist. Athletes breaking the law and how it affects card values

Why does it seem that almost every day you go read sporting news and you read about athletes getting in trouble with the law? Whatever ever happened to the role model athlete?
Nowadays, there are very few athletes that I would want my children calling role models. I remember when I was growing up there would be an article every now and then about an athlete getting in some form of trouble, for example Dennis Rodman having a shotgun in his truck and all of his bizarre behavior.
