Yeah I agree Odell is dirty and I've never been a fan. I feel like he's too flamboyant and show-boaty for football.

Overall, Beckham was called for 3 personal fouls, and should've gotten maybe a couple more. He & Norman were going at it in the 1st quarter (missed the shenanigans in the 3rd as I was out doing laundry), and I thought it strange that the zebras weren't calling anything right away. Seems to me it was more about trying to keep Beckham, who's become a gate attraction in just his 2nd season, in the game as long as possible. I just don't know where his head was at yesterday.

I'll have more to say on Beckham in a separate post.

Don't bring politics up here. Wrong forum for that stuff. But just another example of how you have blinders on when it comes to your jealousy and hate for both Brady and the Pats. And since you love to bring up Brady not being disciplined by the refs or the league for his crying as you call it. You should be ashamed to have Odell Beckham Jr. on your team. That guy is WORSE than a so called crybaby. He is a low class punk. A running launched hit to the head of another player because he was such a sore loser that he was being shut down all day. Talk about a cheap shot. He could have seriously injured Josh Norman. He should have been thown out of the game for such a cheap shot but he wasn't. Will he be suspended for the rest of the year? Probably not. At least brady was upset at a call that was reversed and he didn't understand why and it cost us the game. I was upset and didn't understand why either. I am basically saying I can understand why Brady reacted that way. There is no place for what beckham did in football. The Giants are such a joke team it isn't even funny. I will take my crybaby leader and our 12-2 record any day. And I actually saw Giant fans trying to defend beckham. Loser team and loser fans. You stick with your punk team. Pathetic.

Haha. I just read this last comment. More idiotic remarks from someone that knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about football. Time and time again your comments make you sound idiotic. I especially love the part where you say "He wasn't that great at Michigan, either" He was 20-5 in 25 starts in the two years he was a starter with wins in both bowl games. No matter what I say your just a hater anyway. You will never see the light. So hell bent on a 2013 tantrum. Haha. Really. Grow up. And you keep mentioning the tantrum. So in 15 years your stuck on that. Haha. Dude move out of the basement. Idiotic Giant/Met fans.

That would be assuming they had enough evidence to 1) press charges and 2) hold him w/o bail. Didn't happen. Winston's put it behind him, and has played more like a solid citizen.

    Winston should be in jail.

Do you believe, then, that Manziel left Texas A & M too soon? Seems to be the prevalent belief.....
  9. mikejohnj's Avatar
My opinion. Live in Texas and have been for the past 25 years. He did some amazing things at A&M, got his badge of honor and he does know the game from positions other that QB from an earlier age than most. I give him credit for that.....Amazing player but the attitude of a punk.

Made the 1st round in the draft. Threw me for a loop. I'm no angel, I am pretty good at my job but no starting QB per say but if i applied for any job with a bunch of stuff on my record regardless of how good i am, I probably wouldn't get hired in the first place let alone get a million dollar contract.

So he is too small to begin with to have a decent career in the NFL. He will probably party his Cleveland contract away, get released and get a 1 year contract with Jerry Jones to keep the dis-function alive. If he is smart and takes care of his family now instead of partying with his friends, he might be able to borrow some money back when he is tanked.

Part of the problem with kids like Manziel and Winston is that once the hype starts, then you have all these glad-handers that come along and put ideas in their heads that they're ready for the pros. Winston, in particular, was exposed in the CFP semis vs. Oregon, and, coincidentally, his pro debut was against the same QB (Marcus Mariota), as TB was blown out by Tennessee opening day. Winston, though, has grown up a bit the last couple of months, as he's learned quickly to adjust, something Manziel seems unwilling or unable to do.

I think he could have used 1 more year in school, if for no other reason, to get his "partying" out. His career is going to end before it gets a chance to take off.

Was that for an Indians game, or either Texas or Houston?

Haven't followed NFL in years, But I remember seeing his First pitch on tv for MLB and he acted like a fool. He looks more of an MLB than an NFL kind of guy. More than that he does sweat immaturity.

And that just proves another point. Age doesn't always equal increased knowledge. LOL. I think your developing some mental issues with your old age. LOL. Did someone not give the old guy his meds? I love the Randall Cunningham in the top 10 too. LOL Phil Simms is another one. I give you one thing hobbyfan. You sure are funny. Sad part is I think you honestly believe what you write. Poor Poor man. I should leave you alone. I am really starting to feel bad now. Today is Wednesday. LOL

Pass on the uninformed opinions. Yes mom and dad. Don't let your sons sign with Scott Boras as he will only get them more money than almost any other agent. I love how hobbyfan again says Boras fleeces the owners. Owners and their sports management teams are smart people. Your problem is the amount they are getting paid. If the owners don't want to pay it they won't. You keep treating all the owners and players like they are babies. They are all grown men that are capable of making their own decisions. Hey all baseball owners and players. You should listen to hobbyfan because he thinks he is smarter than all of you.

Years of watching football on television help make up the list. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm way older than the average poster on SCF. I developed that list myself, right off the top of the ol' cranium.

Again more idiotic comments from hobbyfan. NY Giant fans you should be mortified to have someone like this speaking as one of you. LOL. Someone stop this guy!! I will address your pathetic list. Your own sentence contradicts itself. "My list of the all-time great QB's that I've seen doesn't include Brady or Eli Manning. However it does have....." So is it YOUR list or one that you have seen published someplace? LOL. If it is published someplace then BACK IT UP WITH A LINK. I know you cannot since no list exists unless it comes from the NY giant hobbyfan hater website. LOL. Would want to argue where he ranks on the list at least I can understand that but to say he is not in the top 10 is absolutely positively moronic at best. You show yourself time and time again to be nothing more than a hater. LOL. As curt shilling said. Nothing better than to see the fans of NY shut up. He was talking about you!

There is dumb, and then, there is you.

My list of the all-time great QB's that I've seen doesn't include Brady or Eli Manning. However it does have.....

    1. Joe Montana.
    2. Terry Bradshaw.
    3. Roger Staubach.
    4. Peyton Manning.
    5. Steve Young.
    6. Troy Aikman.
    7. Phil Simms.
    8. Dan Marino.
    9. Randall Cunningham.
    10. Ben Roethlisberger.

Brady's somewhere near the bottom. Credibility is an issue.

@rocketman818: You're not getting the picture. Boras has fleeced the owners time and again in order to feather his own nest because he feels he could've been a major player if he wasn't injured in the minors. The sad irony is that he was a lawyer, closed his firm to concentrate on his sports agent business, which is legalized fraud, IMPO.

@andrewhoya: Until players from high school on up figure out what kind of con artist Boras really is, they and their families will still buy into his shell games, and his power will grow along with his greed.
  20. rocketman818's Avatar
I can understand why people don't like Boras because it doesn't benefit the teams you support but that is his job. He is trying to make the most money for his clients and put them in the best financial situation. Players have mouths and they can TELL their agent to do exactly what they want. Jason Varitek had boras as an agent. He told him do whatever you need to but at the end of the day I am not leaving the Red Sox. If Scott Boras was such a bad agent it would get out and players would not go to him. There are lots of players that stay exactly where they want to and money is not always the driving force. Bernie Williams had scott boras as an agent and even though the Red sox offered him more money to come he stayed with NY for less. So maybe it is these players really WANT the most money and don't want to stay with the team they are currently on. Fans just see the player leaving like he is a little 5yr old being taken to first grade for the first time and has no say in it. You guys need to grow up and see that baseball is a business. The players, owners and agents see it but most fans don't. I see it for exactly how it is. This is the real world people. Not little league.
