1988-89 OPC Tribute Set - Free Packs available

Rate this Entry
The first OPC set I ever tried to finish was the 1988-89 set. I loved the design and most of my favorite players had rookie cards in that set. There are alot of memories with that set. This year, I created a 132 card tribute to that set on my blog. I finished the base set and did some In Action inserts. Today, I finally put a page up where you can open a virtual pack of the 1988-89 OPC tribute. The set includes 90 cards of today's stars, 30 legends, 12 2011-12 rookies as well as 30 card In Action insert set and 5 autographed cards. Which were actually TTM successes. Fun stuff! Nicely done - although it did take me almost 100 packs to get an auto! Bobby Clarke...meh!

Unfortunately, my HTML skills are not up to giving it proper collation. I assume I'd need to run cookies to do it. Every pack is random and no dependence on the previous pack. On the plus side, it does help to give it that retro feel.

    Cool.
I beat the odds. Figured I'd open a 24 pack box.
Got 3 autos-Al Mcinnis, Bob Clarke and Pater Stastny.
