Store Closing and some random thoughts....

Rate this Entry
Just wanted to let you know that we officially closed the Ajax store on Sunday, June 16th at 5:00. While this was a difficult day for us for several reasons we are looking forward to moving ahead. The period between June 17th and June 30th will be spent packing up and moving everything to our new location in Whitby. We will reopen on Tuesday, July 2nd and will be keeping the same business hours of operation, we will still accept interac debit cards and credit cards for payment and will continue our support of local Durham Region charities. Everything except the location will stay the same.

Our website www.frozenheroes.com is up and running so if you haven't seen it yet please take a look and register your own personal account. We will be offering FREE STUFF, giveaways and promos through the website and only those registered are eligible. Currently there is a pre-order promo for 13-14 UD Artifacts Hobby boxes ($102 a box) posted on the site which involves getting a chance to win a FREE Upper Deck Double Rookie Class Goal Light (MSRP $75). All website orders will receive FREE STUFF. We will have everything we carry posted on the website in time including single cards at up to 90% off the book price. Take advantage of our quantity purchasing and lot buying to get some really nice cards well below book value (2011-12 Black Diamond #250 Ryan Nugent-Hopkins RC BV $100 for $41.67 for example).
Please remember to wait for your online order to be verified so that your order can be picked and the proper shipping charges added if you need your order shipped. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Finally, thanks to all of you for taking the time to come to Ajax and chat and support us and our charities. Your friendship and help with our charities is truly appreciated. Hopefully we will see you in the near future.

Posted on our Facebook page: Author: Michael Robinson This was truely a sad day for the industry! I would like to personally thank Doug and Angie for being the most honest and reputable people in the ENTIRE INDUSTRY. Though I will miss the drop in chats at frozen heroes in Ajax I wish Doug and Angie all the best in future successes! THANK YOU for reminding me of what the Hobby is all about!! FUN

Random thoughts....

.....did you really expect the powers that be at Panini to say that the new Rookie Anthology sucked ? The recent 'Market Analysis' post on the Panini blog was so biased that it failed to say that the product only sells on a box basis because nobody wants to pay $10-$12 for a lousy base pack of which boxes have 2 to 3. At $99 a box it is cheaper then SP Authentic at $118 a box but it is being outsold by SPA at a 3 to 1 ratio in our store.

....I am pleasantly surprised by some of the prices coming out on 13-14 Upper Deck hockey product

....wish Upper Deck would get rid of the Diamond Dealer Program. It isn't worth the ink or paper it is printed on

....13-14 Score Hockey may well go down as the biggest rip off product of the year. At almost double the price of last year, eliminating the buck a pack product for kids the same way Upper Deck did in 12-13 by killing Victory. Justifying the price increase by saying you are guaranteed to get an auto rather then a chance at one. Sure hope your box doesn't have a 5 buck auto in it because it cost you almost $30
