News has come across the wires that the NFL has upheld the 4-game suspension handed to Patriots QB Tom "Crybaby" Brady. If the NFLPA does decide to take this case to court, it's a waste of time, just to appease a bratty prima donna who's proven that you don't need to be a wide receiver to be a diva in the NFL.
Now, they're saying that Brady had destroyed his cell phone, rather than give it up during the investigation into Deflate-Gate. That all by itself was the nail in the coffin, ensuring that Crybaby will sit out the first month of the season, but come October, don't be surprised if it's business as usual for the Pats.
It goes back to what I said before. The league should've gone further to punish New England for Deflate-Gate, such as redacting their Super Bowl last-second win over Seattle, because they should've been disqualified from the playoffs once word got out about deflated footballs. The AFC East title and conference title would also be redacted, and Seattle would be awarded the Super Bowl via forfeit, since the game's been played.
For the last 14 years, Brady's been treated like he's so special. He isn't, and never has. He wasn't that great at Michigan, either. The Patriots know they've got the world's largest bullseye on their collective backs going forward. They've already lost some key players. Darrelle Revis & Stevan Ridley are in New York (Jets), for example. If Jimmy Garappolo, a 2nd year QB, gets off to, say, a 1-3 start when Crybaby returns, Crybaby will get things his way anyway.
This time, however, Crybaby's next tantrum, if caught on national television, should bring more discipline, something the NFL ignored in 2013. It's time to stop treating punks like Brady as if they were still in high school. It's time for Crybaby and his ilk to grow up. Period.
