Shipping Question

I have never sold any of my autographs before, but I'm planning on selling some to a guy in Colorado very soon (I live in Alaska). I ordered some small pre-paid priority mail flat-rate boxes from the USPS website. I'd like to put the autographs inside along with some protection, and then tape the closing flaps after removing the sticker from the adhesive that's on there for extra security, and also tape the seams to help protect it from possibly opening if/when it gets tossed around. But..... I've read some stories online about postal workers whining about people adding tape to their boxes, or even because they didn't use the tape from the post office. What are your experiences with using these boxes? Positive/Negative?
I'm hoping to schedule a pickup later this week so the mailman can pick it up when he's on my route, so I won't have to waste time going to the post office if I can.
