TNA hits a new low

Just when you think you've heard/seen it all, TNA Wrestling sinks even further into the quicksand.
At Bound For Glory on Sunday, Matt Hardy pinned fellow WWE alumnus Drew Galloway (formerly Drew McIntyre) to win the TNA title, after former champ Ethan Carter III (still another WWE alum, Derrick Bateman) was removed from the picture.
It's gone downhill from there.
Knowing that their contract with Destination America is on the verge of going belly up prematurely, TNA embarked on a questionable storyline Monday, with Carter filing an injunction to block Hardy from appearing on Impact as the champion. The shallow selfishness of Ethan Carter III, who has been over-protected since the day he arrived two years ago, has never been more evident than it is now. I get that TNA is desperate at this point, but this is not how you do business at all.
No one, I think, except maybe the most clueless of marks, and that includes Dixie Carter herself, buys into this. Hardy vacated the title on Tuesday as part of the storyline. Matches have already been taped for what would now be a tournament to determine the new champion. It shouldn't happen. TNA lost their deal with Spike TV last year because the network found out that the equally clueless Vince Russo was still on their payroll, and how much do you want to bet that a year later, he's still giving them bad ideas in secret? I wouldn't be at all surprised.
As a writer, I wouldn't have taken this step. Instead, I'd do this.........
I'd do a live Impact tonight to address the situation. Have Hardy, Carter, AND Galloway in the ring, along with Dixie. Ethan demands that Matt give up the title. TNA lawyers, however, have other ideas. Matt & Drew both call out "EC3" as a fraud who never wins his matches without taking a shortcut (i.e. low blows, outside interference), and the lawyers reveal that he is NOT Dixie's nephew after all, but a con man who has scammed the company non-stop for 2 years running. "EC3" is "arrested", charged with fraud, criminal misrepresentation, gross misconduct, etc.. Dixie then announces that Matt is the champ, and will face Galloway in the main event, and that "Ethan" is fired from the company.
Of course, since TNA's uncreative team sees all this as over their heads, the company is doomed. Their loss.
