My new Every-other-day blog

Hey, my name is Andrew for those who haven't met me before. I am a very active member here at SCF, and I am at Star Rank.ollect only baseball cards, as I hardly follow other sports at all. I will be posted my thoughts I things across Sports Cards, World Events, etc. So, to kick it of, I have an opening mini-article:

5 Things I Like/Dislike about the Hobby

A True Classic

5 Things I like:

1. SP Legendary Cuts on-card autos-
I, belive it or not, would rather have two quality on card autos per case, than have one cheap RC auto per box. SP Legendary Cuts delivers on this, with the lowest on-card booking at $20, and you rarly hit those. These cards often sell well in the market and looks great.

2. Pinstripes- I don't think the card makers get how big this is. Just one pinstripe make a card look three times as appealing.

3. Topps Allen + Ginter-
is type of product proves that it is not just about the hits. With there only being 2 of them per box, and the boxes being about $80 when they first come out, this is still Topps best selling product. Why? There is so much possibly in every pack, it's exciting from frist rip to last.

4. BGS Grading-
You may be supprised at why I picked this. I really like BGS grading because they have experts that will prove to me that my auto is real. In an age and day where people complain about wiether hits are real or not, it feels good to get an auto back from Beckett with a "Beckett 10 Autograph" inscription on the case. It shows the makers take the time.

5. Card Shows-
It seems that these type of things are endangered. It is really a bummer too, as you could work out deals face to face, and get paid with cash on the spot. When I was younger, I always rememberd looked at all the collections.

5 Things I hate.

1. Topps Finest-
It just gets worse and worse. This product used to be a favorite of everybody, and quickly dropped. The value for the box gets lower and lower, and Topps is running out of ideas, "Letter Patches Anyone?'

2. Lettermen that don't spell out the players last name-
I'm talking about you, Topps Flagship HOFer set. It just seems stupid. Imagine getting a $300 card with an Albert Pujols Letterman ,1/1 for every letter. That would be cool, right? But what if it spelled, "Amazing Albert". Not so cool now, right?

3. Panini logo-
All I have to say is, What's up with the knight?

4. PO men-
This is one of the things that urks me the most. You have some Post Office workers who will easily snatch that Derek Jeter 1/1 you sent to your good ol' pal for a few bucks. It's against the law, amd I think they should go to jail for that.

5. Packs with 5 cards or less-
The Hobby is Hit or Miss enough, but we honestly don't need this type of thing. The only product like this I have liked is 08 Ultimate Collection. Other than that, it's garbage.
